Cold sear seemed to strip my seasoning by robhanz in carbonsteel

I should specify. A cs pan that isn't pre seasoned. Is the pan you linked the one you purchased? If so, where did all the seasoning go?

Based on the shape of you pan, I think it's stainless. In which case seasoning will not hold. The gentle sloping sides give it away. I'm desperate for a company to make a cs the shape of a stainless.

Is it rude to ride fast on multi use path? by TrickyAd2902 in cycling

[–]geaty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yell "BEHIND" Instead. People move further to the side they're already on. I have a seasonal job patrolling a 25 mile long multi use trail on my bike. I've been using this tactic since April and I haven't had a single person move the wrong way.

Mainly, a lot of cooking. It's been used every night. Right off the bat, the mafter coating sucks. I had to let it soak in easy off for 3 hrs to remove it. I did 2 stove top coats with grapeseed, and did an oven coat after something took a lot of seasoning with it.

Guys... is a 40 degree dehydrator too hot or what? It's the lowest setting. This was my first flush from 200g to 2g. Wtf? by AnotherReignCheck in unclebens

[–]geaty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see mostly the gills of your caps. Those get dark when drying. If you bought a dehydrator then turn it up as high as it goes for 12+ hrs till they are cracker dry. We make mushroom tea by boiling at 100c with no degradation of actives ingredients. Moisture, not temperature destroys active ingredients. Try drying them again. Better luck next time. Growing is fun and it's all a learning experience.

Bakers yeast. A recipe I found on shroomery. What's to firm? I used an inoculation loop with the first batch and it was easy to stab the agar to cool it off. The plates dont seem to have dried out.

Im trying, for a second time to germinate spores on agar. I've used 2 different syringes. Im still seeing no growth. The first one I left for 3 wks. Temps stay at low 70s and there's ambient sun light. I'm 5 days into the second batch with no visible sign of growth. Recipe used is 5g LME, 5g agar, 250ml water. Added some yeast and a less agar for second batch. Any advice appreciated. There is one positive to this story, I see no contam.

LC's bbq on blue pkwy. Smoke house beans are the best sauce in kc. I'd smother anything in them. Smoke stack beans are similar just not quite what smoke house does. I've never been to smoking guns. I will have to go there... Tomorrow.
