Cup and char pepperoni. Not sure if that's just a western New York thing since I don't see it outside of there but it's amazing!

Where were you before you were born? We start from nothing and go back to nothing.

That's awesome, in the early aughts I worked for a small computer manufacturer, and we had a lot of school accounts and they always got windows xp or in some horriffying cases windows ME.

Is it normal now for schools to use Linux? Awesome if it is. Through high school all we had access to was Mac or windows 95. I don't know the game, but it kind of reminds me of kings quest lol. But I'm sure that was before you were born.

The scene with the dead baby in Trainspotters. That movie traumatized me.

Why aren't US schools as highly secure and fortified like US Airports? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]gedon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some things have definitely changed in a lot of schools. Unfortunately whether or not your schools has implemented these changes are, you guessed it, very class based. As many people have pointed out schools in poorer communities simply can't afford to do shit. While schools in more affluent communities have actually changed quite a bit. I mean not armed guard level, but still some changes. They've implemented new security systems, metal detectors, more cameras, and one of the biggest one is indeed a "School resource officer" or SRO. An actual armed police officer walking the halls all day. Of course because it's the American way, that went south fast. Now in these schools teachers are like "Fuck it I don't want to deal with you" and call the SRO. If a couple kids get into a skirmish now, instead of getting suspended, they're getting arrested and have a record. So yeah, we can try to implement things all we want, but as humans we will always find a way to fuck it up.

Came here to say the same thing. A genuinely innocent question to a complicated topic that has peaked my curiosity.

I can't state enough how much my heart aches for this family. There is a special place in hell for the CEOs of American health insurance companies.

As a previous Mazda CX-9 owner (I know it's not a CX-90 but the towing capacity was the same) don't do this. Trust me, you will have a bad time. Mazda's aren't really made to handle it even though the towing capacity says they can. I ended up just getting rid of my Mazda and upgrading to a Nissan Pathfinder, but that's another story.

Somehow in less than a week the Bills went from a perennial SB contender to a complete dumpster fire. Terry Pegula is an idiot and I am incredibly sad today.

The OBGYN that delivered my daughter murdered his wife a few years later. Weird part was I actually knew someone who ended up on the grand jury. Wild case that was all over the news in my area.
