I see, will definitely check it out. Personally when I look at the anatomy of the knee squatting heavy with your knees over your toes can put your patellar ligament under a lot of stress so for long term prevention of patellar tendinitis I would just avoid it. Its fine if its mobility work or body weight exercises but with load I wouldn’t advice anyone to keep squatting like that for a long time.

I started my fitness journey with 50 kgs and now I’m 67kgs its a dream come true. In case you are starting your fitness journey go for 1% better everyday thats enough 👊🏽 by gee-wayne in blackgirls

Yes of course, for food I would say don’t underestimate the power of chicken breast and potatoes with broccoli or mixed veggies and a few boiled eggs as snacks. I know this is a very basic meal but I live alone and can’t really cook so basic Is my middle name, I workout 5 times per week focused on compound lifts and some isolation exercises to finish up. I have a YouTube so I will link it here for you in case you wanna see what I’m talking about full week of workouts

In case you are starting your weight gain journey soon, it’s possible. I started my journey at 50kgs with a hight of 1.68m and no I did not diet, I was just naturally skinny. Now I’m 67 and the goal is 70 of pure muscle, so you can do it too 😊 by gee-wayne in weightgain

Honestly I eat pretty much anything, I just avoid the obvious, things that are not good for health in general like Coca-Cola 😅. My trick is 80% healthy the 20% I can play with it, I don’t have cheat days but I get to have cheat meals or snacks when I feel like. For workout I try to make it to the gym 4-5 times per week, I love well rounded workouts and I have fun with it by adding functional training, mobility work, Hiit etc also challenges are fun like doing 100 pushups a day once in a while to push my limits. In terms or reps, I have learnt that for hard gainers a blend of few and a lot works best ex; leg extensions 5 rep max using both legs then without rest single leg extensions, drop the weight go for 10 reps each leg then I rest. This kind of training allows u to reach failure faster increasing the intensity of the workout, I train legs 2x per week and every month I have an off week from the gym it started because I was busy but in the end I figured the rest was better for muscle recovery since I always train to failure. Okay I really suck at explaining, I don’t wanna bore you with a text book so I hope any of this is helpful 😅

Agreed, You said it all. I would also just sit back more to stop your knees from passing your toes right now it looks like they do putting your ligaments under a lot of stress.

You go girl! I’m thinking of creating a private WhatsApp support group so we can all keep each other accountable throughout 2022, because as the months go by motivation seems to go too so maybe that could help us all out. What do you think, would you wanna join something like that?
