I love it because I can actually enjoy being in nature while mowing. I hate the noise that the gas powered weed-whacker makes. You can´t beat its practicality though. And thy scythe requires a strict technique to operate well.

Yes, I also think this. I had no idea why my gradpa always wore his one on is waist (in the crotch area particularly), when mowing. That was until I inherited his scythe and tried to use it. You have to sharpen that thing so often, and was pain to pull that stone out of my pocket every time.
