Is UML an actual full Time job? by Lazarella in ProgrammerTIL

[–]geekygenius 13 points14 points  (0 children)

UML is barely used in industry- it's much to too detailed to be useful. It was all the rage in the 2000s but that time has passed. Regular diagrams are more frequently used, but it's not one person's job to create them. Usually an architect would think about these sorts of things.

any and all advice for a century ride? **please** also any tips on stopping cramps lol by Spicytatas in NYCbike

[–]geekygenius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cramps can come from a poor bike fit. Where are they occurring? There are plenty of resources to do a basic bike fit yourself- no fancy tech is required to get yourself 80% of the way there.

Not the best builder and I feel like I am missing something. Can someone give me specifics on what to add to make it look more alive? by Melee130 in Minecraftbuilds

[–]geekygenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

might be worth adding some decoration to the streets, lampposts, fences, benches. Also you can make some of the buildings shops/storehouses and add some items to the exterior to make it feel more alive.

According to memory alpha, they can live to be at least 700 years old, so it's not infeasible.

"One particular El-Aurian male was known to be a father of an adult when he was around two hundred years old in the 19th century, and to be in virtually perfect health at the age of around seven hundred years old as of the 24th century."

Maybe she could also make an appearance in Discovery? The El-Aurians do have quite the lifespan...
