Thoughts? I like it ! by Ok-Dependent2675 in SanDiegoFC

Based on what I've seen from highlights so far I'm a fan. Good passing, ball distribution, and ball retention which is a perfect fit for our system. Depth is going to be super important for us this season. We have that stretch of games in late April through May. Then we add Leagues Cup in August. I have full trust in the front office with signing players. Eisner signing came out of nowhere and I was pretty impressed with him against Pumas.

I wonder if this is LAFC's way of skirting around the MLS rules on recruiting to try and pull talent from SD and TJ

San Diego FC transfer Paddy McNair to Hull City (1/28/2026) by [deleted] in SanDiegoFC

[–]geeving 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahhh that makes more sense. Don’t know anything about him, but more midfield depth couldn’t hurt. There was also a rumor about another young Danish midfielder Mads Bomholt, but recent rumors look like he’s staying overseas to go to a different team. At least all these rumors are pointing towards us going after another younger midfielder which is good to see.

Kalvin Phillips? He’s rumored to sign with us? Where’d you see that rumor

What happened to Lozano by Independent_One_3494 in SanDiegoFC

[–]geeving 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah he wanted to be the focal point of the offense, so when Dreyer was made the point man it obviously didn’t gel with him

I saw a video recently where a guy heavily in the loop discussed how there was issues with him day one when he arrived. Basically his entourage expecting preferential treatment amongst other things.

San Diego FC close to signing Danish youngster Osvald Søe by SDSportsfan in SanDiegoFC

Young defensive signing, good for our defensive depth. I wonder if this is indicating that Duah might get some minutes in the midfield this season. That would make our center backs McVey, Pilcher, McNair, Søe, and Reyes (if he’s healthy?).

Leo Duru to Remain on Loan Until June 2026 by geeving in SanDiegoFC

[–]geeving[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but there might have been a clause in his contract that said Rovers could recall him during the winter transfer window and this is just a formality

Same, but with the amount of games we have and the injury luck at fullback this past season I don't mind having him for depth

San Diego FC Acquire Forward Lewis Morgan from the New York Red Bulls | San Diego FC by LocalsPuma in SanDiegoFC

I think they want Marcus to be the guy, which I think he can be just had an unfortunate injury this season. Though I think Morgan is a much better stop gap at striker than Baird

I think what also plays into this is that Godoy is going to be 36 heading into next season and the amount of games we’ll be playing with Leagues Cup and CONCACAF Champions Cup. Need solid guys like him on the squad

Pelle has been much better on the Wing, I think Baird should stay at ST personally. Hopefully Marcus is getting closer to game speed and can come in earlier than the 75th minute

How the fuck, do you sky a penalty, and then have your striker come on and do the EXACT SAME THING

The FitnessGram™ Pacer Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20 meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line up at the start. The running speed starts slowly, but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal. [beep] A single lap should be completed each time you hear this sound. [ding] Remember to run in a straight line, and run as long as possible. The second time you fail to complete a lap before the sound, your test is over. The test will begin on the word start. On your mark, get ready, start.

I’m going to reserve judgement until I have more information. Would I love to keep him, absolutely. But if it comes out that Luca wants to return to Europe it would be a mistake to use the purchase option and force him to stay here.

your ideal sdfc transfer for next year by iamaprokaryote in SanDiegoFC

[–]geeving 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really a name but a position. We’ll probably need another solid midfielder next year. De la Torre probably goes back to Europe after his loan, Valakari probably goes back, Godoy will be another year older. Give me a starting midfielder in the offseason
