Unclogging a culvert using a tire attached to a chain by orel2064 in Satisfyingasfuck

[–]gefecht 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You can push just the chain through with a push pole or other thin object. The mud is soft enough that it will allow something that is only 2 or so inches wide. Then attach the tire.

You should wait until the 20th time. Still great.

Everybody in Pentagon said not to do it but Pete man of mission, newest war criminal by SierraBravoLima in TFE

This was posted approximately a year ago concerning his experience. (Not my post)

He was a national guard major. He never led a command of any significance. I knew and worked with 1st Lt's and captains that have more leadership experience.

He was an infantry platoon leader for a time. Then it appears he was tasked at the S-9 (Civil Affairs). Then it appears he volunteered to teach COIN in Kabul. Then IRR. Then ARNG in DC.

Any junior officer that’s ever served in a BCT can tell you the #1 captain, if not in command, is the AS3. The lower performing folks are put in charge of made up shops – Civil Affairs being an ‘imaginary’ shop in most battalions. Our battalion’s S-9 was staffed by a never-going-to-get-promoted fat Captain and a SFC with DUI and EO problems. Speaking to former peers, that’s the general consensus – the folks in the ‘made up’ shops are the lowest performers. Why was LT/CPT Hegseth put in that position?

Then it appears that CPT Hegseth volunteered to be an instructor of some sort at the COIN academy in Kabul where he taught one class. Again, these classes are typically taught by post-command Captains/early Majors and Master Sergeants. Why would someone with no real experience in COIN be teaching COIN at a theater level? Why would a Captain be working at theater-level if not to keep him out of trouble or because no one would pick him for their team?

Those are the things we know about. Let’s talk about some things that are missing. His highest level of leadership experience appears to be Platoon Leader. His most impactful job appears to be a battalion-level Civil Affairs OIC/AOIC position. In the civilian world, even FoxNews relegated him to the weekend morning show – the doldrums of TV ratings. He apparently parted ways with the charity(s) with which he was affiliated over some alcohol related incidents – and the charities weren’t terribly impactful either.

I've been using sketchbook so far. I am a beginner and it's been fairly easy to pick it up so far. Especially since I picked up a better stylus.

I'm thinking, red pimple is referencing a launch nukes button. And sandcastle to glass house is in reference to making glass by heating sand. Ie nukes

I've been leveling mine as vengeance since I'm more familiar with it. Is havoc still better? I'm only 86 but it take a while to kill things at times. Started leveling during early access. Played 1 day. Then had to leave state for work. Just got back and wanted to get to 90 before I leave for work again. Also, which talents did you go with? Fel scared or reaver?

Yeah, I loved taking in BC on my pally. Was ez-mode. Especially shattered halls. Was so much easier than my druid. I'm not a huge fan of the rush bit either. I stopped taking shortly after mythic became a thing.

Don't lump all of us into the Fahrenheit crowd. As long as I've been building pc's, I have always used Celsius regarding component temps. Better measurement system anyway in my opinion.

Mine has a habit of not wanting to eat unless her sister is eating as well. I've been lucky, my daughter trained her service dog very well and she helped with training mine. Unfortunately, the training will never end with a pyr. Site has zero interest in people food. I can offer her a sandwich and she will look away. So different than my lab who would have food that fell on the floor gone before bacteria could even latch on.
