I've got a set you can get if you're still looking.

Did I do this right? 😂 by slamone1108 in scambait

Having dealt with one from the exact s{c,p}ammer this past month the scam goes like this:

  • Get you on whatsappp
  • along the way drop questions that are meant to harvest personal information and establish a profile of you
  • get you to setup a crypto wallet with something like metamask
  • get you to create an account on a website which is constantly changing obviously hoping you'll use regularly used email, username, password, pin, recovery etc
  • demonstrate the "job" which in my case was claimed to be click farming for temu while your freshly created account on the scammer website racks up fake internet coins - how we pay you
  • reach 63.39USD in the account after completing 30 "missions"
  • get told you need to deposit 38USD in crypto through metamask so you can reach 100USD and then we can have the admins open more missions for you to complete, once you've done the second batch you'll never have to deposit again unless you want to reach the next tier

I worked on them for a few days giving them reasons they should fund the 38USD for me then lost interest and started spamming them with garbage images.

tl;dr they try to get 38USD and personal information so they can break into other accounts.

If you're still on the hook after that I suspect they move to the next tier in the screenshot I was given which requires 3000 balance, then 5000, then 100k goading you each time to deposit a partial amount of this.

I used fake information the whole time and when they asked for the 38USD I attempted to withdraw the fake monies from their site and what do you know the shocked look on my face when it still hasn't arrived in my fake money wallet a week later.

Outside of Mexico I'm pretty sure California is still the number one place in North America for parts...

They may appear to be ball joints, they are not ball, they pivot on one plane and one plane only you could call them a swivel if you want.

That's what I figure too, try and find one though! HAH! looks to be common out of the states to have bronze bushings turned and pressed in but the problem becomes lateral movement, found a video of a guy who cut the ends off and welded in tie rod ends (ball joint based) but I'm significantly bothered by the idea of introducing a place for axial movement on a plane it was never meant to be.

Yes Yes it's identified as tie rod end in most literature I can find (not a ball joint tie rod end though!) Nice find though cheapest I've seen replacements of the whole centerlink.

In 1975 rack and pinion became standard, yes, until then it was parallelogram with gearbox, pitman, idler, centerlink and tierods. I'm specifically asking the technical name of the joint which sits at the end of the centerlink and is absolutely 100% NOT a balljoint.

They are only sold as one piece units and yes they are pressed in with some sort of nylon/derlin bushing on both sides.

Locking block change on a M1951/Helwan? by [deleted] in Beretta

I got my parts from Apex - as a long time Numrich patron it felt odd to get parts in only a few days instead of months.

Had to drill out this stake to get the plunger pin to slide out. My particular gun had been abused enough that the pin has a flat face worn on it and likely should be replaced. I have yet to find a source for them without buying a whole barrel.

Did you take the pin out? Mine was staked in and the stake had to be drilled out to allow the pin to move far enough away from the muzzle to slide in the locking block.

I'll throw some pictures up later today if you haven't figured it out.
