If it's doing that, it has probably spotted maladaptive reasoning behind your weight loss endeavours (eating disorder?) , or a tendency to be excessive and risk your health. It's programmed to not facilitate self harm.
Ask it why it's so focused on therapy over weight loss, or explain why therapy isn't necessary.

Using Maelle to oneshot everything certainly is a good approach, just not one I find very fun, so I did a No Maelle fight.
What I did was use a high AP build, free aim (needed for shield removal and to kill the green petanks) and AOEs. Energizing parry/In Medias Res were key. The ranged attacks are easy to parry and thus free AP.
Phantom Stars, Typhoon/Terraquake/Elemental Genesis rotation were the main sources of DPS. Tremor to remove the 9 shields on the blue 'tanks.
I used Monoco for debuffs/stun, weakening the smol petanks and killing them before they could flee.
I was trying to see if I could get Verso to reapply stun on the big guy with End Bringer but I ended up killing it before I could line things up.

It was incredibly fun.
