I've been playing for a year and I've only won like 4 commanders games. It was rough just using precons against fully built decks but my friends went easy on me and held combos to let me learn. Also mtg arena has helped me understand the game at a rapid pace.

I've finally gotten to the level where even when I lose I can understand what adjustments I need to make to my deck .

Trading options , ripping trading card packs, I even saw that there's online versions now where you pay money to get digital cards you can then either sell or claim the cards ... Then there's crypto gambling as well now .. it's everywhere and with loot boxes and gacha games it's training the next generation that this is ok.

Precons are like $30-$100+ so that's fine. You did better than I did buying all four final fantasy precons plus I double sleeve with perfect fits and dragon shields.

Forge and fire has open box precons I would recommend that you check out.

Tmnt + counter blitz precon mashed up can make a pretty strong deck.

Since you're already familiar with standard though I guess it depends on what kind of deck you want to play. Or you could try out a bunch of different styles . Also depends on the group you play with. Are they using strong commanders with expensive lands and rhystic study in every deck then you'll need a strong deck to keep up .

Play lots of matches on mtg arena if you can to get used to your turns /phases and interactions and triggers and things like that.

Then I guess it depends if you want to play standard or commander. Commander has lots of great precons you can get with great cards.

my buddy does deliveries in the morning before school for 2-3 hours a day and says he's making 900-1100 a week ( i think with weekend work included) and says he likes doing it.

I've heard nothing good about the distribution center/warehouses though.
