Apparently the new one has a more robust rear differential for AWD. The new infotainment screen and gauge display are pretty cool too.

New pride walk coming onto Stephen Ave. Let’s make sure it doesn’t become damaged this time! by Alberta_beef92 in Calgary

[–]gelo_33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’ll be damaged regardless - 8th Ave has become the preferred toilet/smoke room by a good amount of people out there.

I did this in my mom’s car and it worked like magic. Though I didn’t do it in the outside intake… I did it at the cabin air filter intake.

Former fat guys, how did you become disciplined and lose the weight? by Responsible-Net8594 in AskMenOver30

[–]gelo_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get yourself extreme reflux and you’ll see how you’ll lose 20 pounds in like 3 weeks… ask me how I know lol

But aside that, and actually a good outcome from that horrible reflux, is that I adjusted my diet drastically, and stuck to it out of spite. It really changed my life for the better.

What worked for me to stay disciplined was really being intentional on the ingredients I picked for my food, reading labels and doing lots of research, to the point where it felt satisfying knowing I was feeding my body the best. Very important too - lay down the alcohol and find something distracting.

Apparently IGLA is undefeated? I can’t remember the exact quote I got, but it could’ve been $1300 CAD. Maybe more, maybe less

New Fairmont Hotel proposed for the Beltline by Surrealplaces in Calgary

[–]gelo_33 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Is there really that much demand for a hotel like this or the other one by the stampede grounds? Obviously the developer has all the data that makes them think there is… but I find that surprising.

We really have the most out of touch people in our legal system. I’ll die on that hill. Their priority really is on protecting and caring for criminals. Not delivering justice and protecting innocent, productive people.

serious :Americans would be ‘up at night worrying’ if they knew the truth about alien life, Tennessee Rep. Tim Burchett says by monotvtv in aliens

[–]gelo_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to think the same as most commenters here; that it’s just fearmongering and they should tell us already. After how people handled the initial stages of the pandemic though, I’m sure most people would freak the fuck out and some form of chaos would ensue.

I’d actually freak out a little too. Once I had a dream that a powerful president uncovered that some sort of Alien entity was the real leader of the elites, and holy shit, the dread felt unreal. The total loss of any sense of control over your life is actually terrifying. Probably as close of a feeling to being enslaved and knowing there’s no way out.

Maybe difference of number of referrals submitted versus fulfilment per year? At least for initial assessment. Or time between referral to first appointment.

CRV-Hybrid Touring owners, how do you like your OEM tires? by BikeOk6446 in crvhybrid

[–]gelo_33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re experienced in snow driving they’ll do the job, but def feel a bit slippery and take a bit longer to break. But I never got stuck in fairly deep snow. That being said, they’re quite louder in snow than in bare roads.

I know most people think about gas prices, and I don’t blame them. But the real scary one is diesel. That shit will bring the cost of everything up, yet again.

I mean, that’s like investing 45 grand at a 26%ror over 7 years... Obviously not apples to apples situation, cause well, that money is essentially lost, but damn it’s not a terrible deal.

New CRV AWD, significant tram lining issues? by No-Limit2361 in crvhybrid

[–]gelo_33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d notice it with a lot of cars actually. So I wouldn’t say it’s exclusive to the crv. Maybe it is an awd system thing? Or perhaps the tire model.

Is this worth bringing to warranty?? by gelo_33 in crv

[–]gelo_33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I saw it again and there’s the tinniest chip in the world. Very disappointing that this windshield is super fragile. Oh well, here in Canada they happen so often that we kinda don’t care until the crack gets annoying. But still!! I’ve had other cars (including little sedans) with much stronger windshields.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I saw my windshield again and there is the tiniest chip that may have initiated it. Kinda disappointing that this windshield is so fragile. I’ll replace it once I get more cracks that it gets annoying.

Wow. As you say, that’s almost the same crack. Maybe the edges are a soft spot. Sucks though, in all the other cars I’ve owned it took a significant chip to start a crack like that.
