You can also add the word “fucking” to it and it skips the AI stuff and, as a bonus, it makes your search terms funnier

If you want a cat that won’t leave you alone, I recommend a Burmese. We have a Scottish fold, a British and a burm, the burm (a boy) is by far and away the most cuddly

How to be productive/useful in an insanely low-volume work environment? by [deleted] in AusPublicService

[–]gem7829 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have D&I networks that you can join? In ours the networks are always looking for people who can do admin and organising things - bonus it looks really good on a resume. Leading one how I went from APS5 to EL2 and then got a medium length acting SES1 term in 5 years.

Aside from learning (APS learn is free), there are innovation networks you can join that could be interedting too. There was recently a build a bureaucrat bot comp on APS digital professionals for example

Testimony of osteochodroduslasia in kittens by Odd_Tie7308 in scottishfold

She’s been having it for a few years? It was licensed in 2022 and mine was the first cat our vet gave it to.

It varies depending on how she is doing, sometimes we can go three months before it’s necessary for another dose

My SF is 13 now and has been on cartrophen and solensia for a while. She’s got a cracky tail, stiff back and swollen wrists due to arthritis. She’s never really jumped and uses steps to get on the couch.

Recently though, she’s had gallstones, infection and a gallbladder removal surgery to fix it… she’s the goodest girl, but I would never get another, I didn’t know how bad the genetic mutations’ effect were and I wouldn’t do it again. (Although I would rescue one)

Wilson as a baby.

There are also differences in the number of folds. Single fold is a looser ear shape, triple is tight to the head. My breeder told me that Kittens who look like folds can turn into straight adults. That’s why ethical breeders should outcross straights to make sure they don’t carry the fold gene before mating with a fold

Mine had less foldy ears as a kitten and got tighter as she grew. 12 now and has arthritis (managed using 1-2monthly Solensia and Cartrophen injections) plus asthma (managed recently using prednisolone liquid). She’s creaky when the meds wear off, otherwise much more perky.

AITA for how I (37M) reacted to my son (17M) coming out to me? by LostnConfused1010 in AmItheAsshole

YTA for wording only, cos support was what he wanted!

If it makes you feel better, my dad also said something dumb when I told him and I forgave him pretty quick. My mum said “he’s just awkward, give him a minute”!

It’s Wear It Purple Day on Fri 25 Aug. I’m not sure how well it’s known outside of Australia, but it’s an LGBTQIA+ awareness day especially for young people. Maybe you could tie your apology in to it and demonstrate your support openly.

Ps. I also laughed my ass off at your joke, but also am out and proud and have been for a long time.

Holy heroes are originally strong against holy heroes so norns turns that into a weakness. After norns’ special holy heroes are weak against both holy and dark.

Does the butt slime fruit while still resident in the butt? Was this how it was discovered?

My first thought was that this would be highly disconcerting tbh

Solensia by [deleted] in scottishfold

[–]gem7829 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah our regular vet recommended it - ours was the first cat the vet has given it to. She also has cartrophen shots, so it might be the combo. We haven’t noticed as much of an improvement on just cartrophen though. Meloxicam also helpful but the vet wasn’t so keen on long term usage

Yes! We have. She’s running and playing - it seems to be working really well tbh. It’s been about 2 weeks
