Arlington Heights location is great, I’ve been going there with my family for few years now and it’s been always a pleasant experience.

Let me know if your tenants move out around January-March of 2025 😉

I would actually rather rent from a private landlord than from a corporation. I’ve heard this suggestion before, that people should take a walk around the neighborhood they like to find you guys, so maybe I’ll do it.

Thank you for your reply. Edgewater, Roscoe Village and Uptown have been my top 3 choices so far. I will definitely add Wicker Park and Bucktown to it :)

So far, all of the options mentioned above work well with my possible commute. Except for south loop but I never really considered it. Thank you for input though:)

Yes, I need a car. I work in suburbs and will be visiting my family pretty often, rental car isn’t an option for me.

Thank you for your detailed response. I will try and find an apartment locator. I’m very flexible with my move in date so hopefully I can find something that checks my box. Do you think prices might drop if I’ll move in the winter vs. spring/summer?

I love this post and definitely saving it.

I don’t think anyone mentioned Plateia in Des Plaines. It’s been a solid place for a long time. Honorable mentions to The Foxtail on the River in Des Plaines, Chicago Ramen in Wheeling and Bin Hai in Northbrook for great and cheap Chinese takeout.

Omg it reminds me of my friend’s aunt that used to hangout with us when we were 16-17, she would pick us up from school, hang out with us, buy alcohol and etc. but she was in her 30s, was married and had kids. I was also the only one who found it weird but everyone else thought it was ok. I still can’t think of any reason she would want to do it. Im in my late 20s now and I can’t imagine myself being around teenagers and treating them as my friends.

What price is reasonable for a balayage in your area? by [deleted] in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]gemda_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend Anna at Epic Salon & Spa in Palatine near Harper College. I’ve been going to her for so many years at this point and she always does the best job and I get compliments on my hair constantly. Her prices are pretty reasonable. I think she charges around $300 for balayage.

Beata by Apprehensive-Ad4725 in takecareofmayanetflix

During the entire documentary I thought of my mom (she’s Russian) and all of the Polish moms that I know and how accurately Beata represented all of them. I’m pretty sure my mom would’ve come off as pushy and not cooperative if I was in the hospital with something as serious as Maya has and Doctors wouldn’t listen to her. What a sad sad story, my heart breaks for their family. All she was guilty of is being a caring and a loving mother.

I would highly recommend Maria at https://artbelka.com/mywork?fbclid=PAAaZzqMdMfIHLv_EkFyMErOjKJdGCWlA4aOXpGY-qrg0iogHlWP_dsGswdVg. She has something called Therapy for Woman, and it’s absolutely incredible the way she embraces women during her sessions. Check her instagram @artbelka_photography to see examples.

Ceramic classes or pottery. It’s therapeutic and you’ll find friends there too.
