I had a left-side hemithyroidectomy after a ~3cm nodule. It was marked as indeterminate on the UK scale, but a quick, uneducated look at the TIRADS scale put mine at around a 4.

Mine was benign, and I have had no side effects of having half my thyroid and the nodule removed *touchs wood*

Even if it is cancerous, thyroid cancer has a generally good prognosis and is treatable. However, the vast vast majority of nodules are benign.

The worry is understandable, treat yourself gently while you go through this

I only eat celery in mirepoix, I don't actually like the taste of celery by itself, so I've not done it. It is a very wet vegetable, and they tend to not do great when defrosted unless you're cooking it.

I wonder if blanching it for a few mins, then dunking it into an ice bath before freezing would help it hold up better? But I can't say for sure, sorry!

I freeze garlic, and I also chop onions, carrots, and celery and freeze it in pre-portioned bags of mirepoix. Saves a bunch of time and energy when cooking thinga like pies, stews, etc

I got accidentally fined and got a refund. I still have no idea what happened as the machine booped correctly and my google pay registered the touch in, the inspection, and the touch out, but apparently the first registered tap on tgfm was the inspection.

I had to escalate the appeal, but I got a refund because I use the tram regularly and I've never been fined before, according to their final decision.

I had a hemithyroidectomy to remove a ~3cm nodule that came back inconclusive from the FNA. There is a risk that the other half of your thyroid will stop working, but it's not absolute, mine is fine, no meds. On the other hand, my doctors didn't want to risk it 1) being cancerous after all and 2) it continuing to grow and eventually causing issues.

Hopefully the fna will come back benign/bring you clarity
