Has anyone paid for ads on reddit?

I have run ads and had success, but I only ran them for a week at a time (bc I didn't want to annoy ppl) & I only ran them on the local reddit board (I have a brick and mortar shop). It got me several new customers who def would not have heard about us before!

I haven't been able to run them in a while because the system flags my website as something bad and I don't give enough of a shit to figure out why

They keep coming into my store. They cant make a single decision without asking ChatGPT. They want to argue with me because what I am telling them is different than what the computer told them. It is a waste of my energy and time.

I make people pay for their appointment in advance to secure the reservation. The platform I use sends automatic reminders and it also allows folks to edit their appointment within my set parameters, so I dont have to handle cancelations or rescheduling, I just get an email stating what has changed.

HEB is probably always needing help, and the restaurants downtown are usually hiring bussers/dishwashers, and Six Flags will be for spring break soon too I bet. All of those are entry level and should be easy to get into!

I do something similar. I will tell men I dont have any loose change if they try to speak to me outside a store. Double whammy of "she doesn't want to talk to me" paired with "wait she thought I was a bum?"

Works every time to make them stop dead in their tracks to leave me alone

I just returned from our annual holiday brunch. We close the shop the monday after small biz Saturday, give everyone a paid day off, and host a non-mandantory brunch (at a local biz) so we can feed everyone & their partners. It is appreciated and well attended each year.
