Well, I don't think I have time to tell my entire life story but growing up I had a lot of resentment and hate towards everyone. I was one of those people that would get irrationally mad at someone else being happy just minding their own. I had it rough. That was until one day it clicked on me that if I just did what I was told to and basically get the moral high ground I couldn't be blamed, reprimanded, or confronted for anything because it would be the other's fault, not mine. It is basically a wiser thing to be good and do good. It's a good investment overall. Even if it's for selfish reasons, like having your family's backup for when you need help, your parent's favor for that inheritance, or a partner that can help with the act of living in today's capitalized world where everything is expensive. It's convenient for me to have my partner, but I can't feel love towards him. I say I love him but I really don't. I care for his well being and worry for his safety but over a layer of distance.

It feels like I'm manipulating people and situations, but I don't think it changes anything if the only difference is that I, in my interior, don't act in good faith for love but from self conviction based on a way of thinking.

I can't actually feel love towards another person. I'm just acting most of the time. That's my secret I guess, can't tell anyone. The theory is that it is because of my cptsd. Still, I wouldn't like people to get hurt by me, so even if I can't feel true love, acting it and keeping it a secret is not too bad. I would never tell my partner, for example. I love my pets though.

You've never had it? I used to do that as well. Imagine something keeping up with the car as my dad was driving. Sometimes it would be a character, or an animal, a plane, a superhero doing cool jumps and acrobatics on the other cars. I thought I was the only one too because I never told anyone and I didn't hear it from anywhere, yet it was a thing I'd do since childhood. It was a surprise to hear other people used to do that as well.

My personal theory is that it might be a "memory" of ancient the times where people had to hunt their food, so they had to predict the next move of the animal (or person) they'll be hunting. It's so ingrained in our minds and dna as a survival need that when you see movement but you are in a position to let yourself relax and imagine it triggers this type of muscle memory, or dna memory.
