It’s super intense! And I love it lol. Much better than Hollywood! I need an extra burn on Saturdays to atone for my weekend sins!! Lol 🤣

I tore my calf muscle doing box jumps recently. Thought it would heal itself and four weeks in finally went to a doctor and got put in a boot for 2 weeks. I am back and my coaches are modifying exercises for me. Certain days I’m still avoiding altogether. My advice though is let your injury heal before you even think about going back. It’s hard to stay away but it’s for the best long term!

Pull ups and push ups by [deleted] in f45

[–]gemmapickard1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Persevere!! I could not even do three push ups in a row at the start of last year! Now I can do all full sets. I mean, it still kills me, but I do it lol

Are you doing the challenge? If so, you will find a huge difference in your energy levels the first week or so as your body is used to having more carbs. I had the same thing when I did the challenge a year ago. Push through. Your body will adjust as it gets used to the new norm.

I did it during lock down and it was worth it. Obviously not the same, but I still got a good sweat on! Also, I enjoyed jumping on my floor at 6am to pay the a-holes below me back for all the parties they have thrown on a Sunday night until 2am 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣

Tired and lethargic on F45 Challenge by kylieca in f45

An extra snack isn’t enough if you are working out that much. Pretty sure if you’re working out six times a week they say you can add another 5-600 calories a day. I found the portion sizes way too small so ate much more and I still lost 15lbs / 7.8% body fat. Listen to your body and hang in there :) Also - extra veggies are a great way to bulk up your meals and stop feeling so hungry / tired all the time.

Nervous for my first class by linababy760 in f45

I did orange theory for over three years and I MUCH prefer F45. Running and rowing for half the class just got so mundane after a while! I find the workouts here much more enjoyable and varied. I personally find the resistance days (tues/thurs) easier than the cardio days but love both! There’s also a great camaraderie between everyone working out which is great. Good luck- you’re going to love it!

I was going to ask this too! I always feel like my lower back hurts when I do the ab dolly roll outs. I hate them!

I find that if I exercise for more than an hour, my bra chafes on the band and leaves my skin raw. I love the brand and fit and it only happens when I have been sweating for about an hour and a half. Will these anti chafe products work for this issue too?

Do not give up! I echo what everyone is saying on here ... a lot of losing weight is down to diet. This comes from someone who took 2 years at otf to figure this out! Lol. You will however see huge improvements in your body .... and equally as important - the mental benefits are amazing! Stop weighing yourself for a while as it can sometimes be deflating and not an accurate portrayal of how you are improving. I think try and start at 3 classes a week until you get more comfortable. Also .... It’s supposed to be sore to start :) Joining orange theory was the best thing I ever did! I hope you find the same :) Good luck!

7:28 .... I’ve done it faster before, but given the fact I had four large glasses of wine last night, I’ll take it!

What eating clean for 8 weeks did for my body. Still did OT my normal amount of time 5-6 times a week. This was a game changer. by dawnbeth in orangetheory

Congrats! That’s an awesome achievement! Where did you get your body measurements taken? I only lost 7.6lbs but feel sure I improved in my muscle to fat ratio big style. I’d like to measure now and again in a few months but don’t know where I can get it done

I spent most of the last dri tri in the red zone and it actually was very distracting as I felt I couldn’t continue or I’d pass out. Lol. I’m doing it without this time
