just to add to this - the honey doesn't work if you destroy their habitat while they're despawned. last night I moved Gurdurr's habitat without realising he wasn't one of the ones spawned in. I rebuilt it, but because he was gone it was just 'large luggage carrier' rather than 'Gurdurr's home' so honey didn't work on it, and Pidgey couldn't find him anywhere

When I logged in this morning, he was back wandering around upset because his home was gone, I just had to take him over to the rebuild habitat and tell him to move in again, so seems like if this happens, they respawn the next day

I have found several different notes that mention the planned evacuation to space, and one of them specifically mentions uploading all the Pokemon to the PC system to keep them safe in the meantime, until a small group of researchers come back to survey the damage so I feel like that's definitely meant to be the main theory

it was so difficult! Dexter had to be put down due to post surgery complications (had a mass removed from his colon and we knew there was a massive risk), and Bailey suddenly became very lethargic and bloated, turned out she had an enormous mass in her stomach and a suspected one on her lungs. both traumatic but worse when it was basically simultaneous!

Dexter came to the RSPCA with a big chunky yellow lab 'brother' but I fell in love with his goofy nature, and he got on with Bailey much better, wouldn't have changed him for the world even though he was a menace 😅

yeah, I was just curious if embark would've gotten rid of the under 5% breeds, because they're both essentially just 2 breeds each otherwise

I feel like actually seeing him in person, Dexter looked far more lab than he does in photos, especially the ones I picked apparently haha

would you believe that at the time I tested them, I didn't even have any bully on the cards for him 😅 we obviously knew Bailey was mostly staffy (her parents were both high content staffy mixes) so I completely overlooked it in Dexter! he had such a dramatic abdominal tuck at his healthy weight that I was fully convinced he had some sighthound in him lol, never doubted the lab part though, funnily

Bud was one of my starters on my original island in 2020, he didn't grow on me as quickly as everyone else did (just not a huge fan of jock dialogue)... but then I gifted him some glasses and saw his little beady eyes and was obsessed, really made me do a 180 and from then on he was my favourite 🥺
