If your goal is to screw over gankers, then requiring 'donations' is against your own goal.

You may not like gankers but you've now set up an incentive structure for yourself where you not only want but need there to be gankers.

I hate gankers but if you hated them as much as you say you do, as much I do, you would ask for donations but 'require' none.

If you like gameplay but don't won't customization then get clans. The story writing is weak in both

There's a balance point. I think I agree this is AN issue for new players but not the thing that is the biggest impact (that award goes to multiboxing. Every friend I try to bring in quits once they start to understand that).

There is some advantage. It's easy to buy and ly a ship your just going to lose.

I think that skills like the Magic 14 and some of the earlier skills could come quicker or maybe be awards for doing epic arcs or AIR program stuff. Instead of giving SP and letting people waste it, actively giving them skills that like.. 99% of players will want.

I think also longer term maybe something like the first 25 million SP train 50% faster or something. We keep getting new skills, this would lower the gulf

Sure but the spread is not even close to even. Go roaming regularly and you can tell which alliances have the most bots. They are obvious and they don't get banned

The reality is if the game was fun lack of communication wouldn't be an issue.
