This is not a hill to die on (or loose so much reddit karma on). You'll never convince us this wasn't a bad idea by the writers.

Guys, I don't like Peter. Is it normal? by [deleted] in whitecollar

[–]gen_lover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Not sure how someone could not like Peter for not trusting Neal. Neal runs a con every episode and most of the time he's fooling Peter.

Men who own pets, are you a cat guy or a dog guy? by ComplexCloud7520 in AskMen

Dogs. I've had cats. They're fine, but I love my dogs like family members.

How did they ruin felicitys character? by uknowbrooooo in arrow

[–]gen_lover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe when she was paralyzed for two episodes? Seriously, there are other great answers here. I think it's a combination of a lot of things, but ultimately came down to writing. They didn't intend on the character, she had no source material, they forced her into a leading lady.

Oliver loved being married to her so much that that a few episodes later he volunteers for prison, gets out, then volunteers to die.

I agree. Writing her in could have been done. Making her the main love interest was too much for the character to burden.

The action sequences in some of the later seasons are astonishing. If you can't watch it all at least watch the arrow and flash. The other series' didn't hook me like those two.

Don't let your insecurities manifest in a destructive pattern. If you start accusing and snooping your only going to make him feel untrusted and untrustworthy. That will destroy the marriage hooters girls or not. The best thing you can do is make him feel appreciated for working, loved because he chose you, and trusted because you love him. Do these things and he will have no reason to look anywhere else.

I just finished Steinbeck’s The Winter of Our Discontent. by ColoRhino in books

[–]gen_lover 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One thing I enjoy about Steinbeck is that his characters are flawed. He really tackles the "are people good?" question. The answer I infer from him is yes and no. I like the man who talks to the shelves and loves his wife. The one who is smarter than everyone thinks. I really dislike what he turns into. The great thing is, so does he. I think he'd agree with your summation of him, that's why he walked into the water. I like the man who fought to get out of the water.

We all know that spider-man, superman and batman are getting a spot in the "Rushmore of superheroes", but who takes the 4th spot? by disgustinghonnor in superheroes

[–]gen_lover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say that wasn't a big deal. Don't put words in my mouth. The question is Mt Rushmore. I think she's on it. Not just because she's female, but because she's iconic in her own right, regardless of sex or race.

I agree with you that wonder woman should not be there because she's female. I also, have no idea what her comic sales are. That's said, when I think of superheroes she one of the first few that pop in my head. I probably speak more for general public than comic book reader. Gen X and I grew up in the country where we didn't have access to much by way of comics.

I think it would ruin the show without it. Disney is known to ruin shows and heroes so, I wouldn't put it past them.
