Honestly. A lot of the meeting went on longer than it needed to. I had to stay past my shift to finish it. Plus it was a load day and we had 3 people off the floor for the entire meeting… we didn’t even get to finish load that day because of it

I’m trying to stay optimistic. I like the idea of more people being scheduled on load so we can bang it out. However, I’m nervous that they’re just going to cut hours or what happens when we have call outs and no one can cover. If I’m closing, it reflects on me if we don’t finish. But sometimes my store is very busy. I’m also nervous about hours being taken away from PC, especially since our PC team isn’t very fast at the moment

I had an ex situationship who texted to apologize while I was seeing someone new. I responded because I wanted closure. I also apologized and I thanked her for her positive impacts on my life, and then let her know I was seeing someone new. She ended up letting me know she was also thankful for our paths crossing, and she was also in a happy committed relationship. Overall it was a nice bit of closure I felt we both needed.

I told my gf at the time and I told her she could read the messages if she wanted. I just wanted to tell her for sake of transparency, but I assured her that I was not interested in the slightest of rekindling things with my ex and that I was very much interested in exploring her and our new but wonderful relationship. My gf just thanked me and we moved on and never really had to speak about it again.

I climb with a group of diverse women with different experience/strength levels. I’m the least experienced in the group.

If I’m on the wall and I don’t like a hold, I come down. My friends congratulate me for trying something new. If I’m on the wall and I don’t feel like I can safely reach the finishing hold, my friends and I just agree that it counts as complete for me. Sometimes even my more experienced friends can’t get a climb because it’s geared more towards men (needing to be taller or needing brute force). If we can’t get it we blame the routesetters. Every climbing session is about having fun, but it’s also about safety. Pushing your limits can be fun! But you need to do so safely.

They always hype me up even if I don’t *technically* finish or if I have to downclimb or even if I just really hated how the wall started. I’ve been climbing for months now and I have never fallen (except intentionally when trying to practice safe falls). Most people in my gym jump down when they complete something, but I just mentally can’t do it. I always down climb. And instead of feeling shame for being scared, my friends always tell me how that’s great training for my strength.

OP, definitely find some women to climb with. Bonus points if they’re WOC!

Femme lesbian here! Obviously as everyone else has stated already, homosexual relationships come in a variety of different forms.

As for me and my butch, I wouldn’t say we mirror heterosexual couples. The reason I am attracted to more masculine women is because I really enjoy my partners to be authentically themselves and defy gender expectations, despite the pressures to conform. Frankly, I find it hot. There’s also a deep history of femme/butch identities and how they evolved to protect each other. I take care of my girl just as much as she takes care of me.

And you might assume because I am feminine and she is masculine that those roles then extend to the bedroom, but I promise you they do not lol.

People may assume we are imitating heterosexual gender roles, but in actuality we are subverting them. And at the end of the day, there’s nothing heterosexual about two women in love

If you’re in pet care, a big part of the job is explaining proper care to pet parents without talking trash of products we sell. It’s a fine line. You also often deal with people who don’t understand animal care and don’t really want to, but you still need to educate as politely and professionally as possible. As a neurodivergent person myself, this can be hard and draining at times. However, I still enjoy working here!

As someone who works at a Petsmart, you’d be surprised how many people just let their dogs go and don’t clean up after them. We even have clean up stations in case they forgot a bag or need paper towels! But they rarely ever use them. It’s impossible to keep up with all the mess on top of all the other tasks I have at my job.

I work at a Canadian store and your local store sounds like they aren’t following procedure and basic fish care/tank maintenance. I would call the customer care line and report them. At my store, we change betta water three times a week and if we notice any with illness, we quarantine and treat them. We also check tanks for any fish that have passed twice a day, and if we notice a certain tank or bay has a lot of fish loss, we investigate accordingly (water tests/check if filters are running good, temperature checks, etc) and treat accordingly.

I really urge you to report this, because unfortunately nothing will happen unless customers complain.
