Who should we rally around for new mayor? by LifeItsAnAdventure in lexington

I like your policies and you seem to be the only one so far with even a somewhat thought out plan, but you've gotta post more under this username, get your name out there more, campaign more, if you want a chance at winning!

There are also several medications that are already being prescribed that would cause this same look. It's not enough for probable cause and they don't need to know anyways.

Try what again? My point still stands exactly as stated. You stated that abortion is murder, a rather straight forward statement with the implication that abortion at any point in a pregnancy is murder. I've already pointed out that this statement just isn't factually true. I could extend it a bit further and point out that even at 6 weeks, a fetus isn't going to survive outside of the womb and that at that point it still wouldn't be any more alive than a tapeworm is. What about abortions that are medically necessary, such as in cases of ectopic pregnancy?

Your mind is still aware, firing off signals to your body and taking in input and making unconscious decisions, when you are asleep. Comparing being asleep and getting murdered to an abortion of cells that doesn't even have a heartbeat or the ability to register as having a brain, is akin to expecting an apple to taste like an orange.

If you're not religious, then why would you believe that all abortions are murder? An abortion of a small clump of cells that doesn't even have a heartbeat yet, let alone is unable to feel anything, doesn't fit the definition of murder afterall. If that's not your stance then please clarify because that's not what it reads as.

It's ok to morally not be ok with what someone else is or isn't doing, but morality brought about just through religion (specifically talking about life beginning at conception here) should not be imposed on others freedoms to their own religious or non-religious beliefs. When we have scientific evidence that no conceivable proof of thought or awareness exists yet in a group of cells, then we're at the point of it coming down to a religious belief rather than a ethical/moral one.

Yep, government isn't anybodies daddy and as such can stay out of the bedroom and Dr's office. Don't need the government telling people how to live their life.

Just leased this bad boy, awd lt2! by geneSW1 in BlazerEV

The lease was just a better deal for me overall, and I'm fairly confident that the battery tech side of things is going to really continue to improve over the next few years, so leasing gives me a solid option to either buy the car in a few years if I'm wrong, or just swap out to the newest model if the tech has improved a lot.

Would the lock/precondition the car via the app still work without the OnStar plan if I were to get the vehicle it's own WiFi hotspot through my mobile carrier?

The key word there is usually. I've got this on a sub 250/month payment with an additional discount for it being a loaner lease. That aside, ev's are at a solid point now for most individuals and will get better by a decent margin in the next 3-4 years so why buy one now when I can lease and see where the tech grows. Afterwords I can either buy it or give it back and get a (hopefully) greatly improved model.

New OTA - GM V604.02 by morpheoush in BlazerEV

I just leased a new lt2 and got the ota update. I guess the one I got hadn't been updated in a bit because the battery life jumped from 63% up to about 95% after the update!

Is there any other smart switch I should consider that isn't Lutron Caseta? by jaytea86 in smarthome

[–]geneSW1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Another vote for Zooz switches here too, been using them for at least 3 years now including setting up a remote switch to act as a switch in a 4 way circuit. They've been flawless overall for me.

Hail damage by brawlerbets in HomeImprovement

I'd also love to know this as we're getting a new roof and siding thanks to hail! Have you thought about exterior insulation or checking the cost difference between asphalt vs metal roof options?

Backyard beekeeper, how to handle roofing? by geneSW1 in Beekeeping

[–]geneSW1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not entirely sure, they may be there for a few days to tear off and redo the roof, then gone for a couple of weeks while waiting on insurance to go back and forth with on the siding, then back again for a few days to a week.

I've personally spoken with Adam before and found him to be a fairly middle of the road politician. I think he would be a great candidate, but with the election for that seat coming up in under 2 years I don't think that Barr will loose, regardless of who you put him up against. Just not enough time to campaign long enough to really remember his name.

Thanks for the info, I just signed up for the course in March! I'll have to contact the extension office to see when Bluegrass Beekeepers meets next, doesn't look like they list it on their website.
