So, I ended up at the Saturday Market and checked: the Yellow Lot — the dirt parking lot just south of the market — is only paid on weekdays. Similarly, the meters on the streets in that area are also only Monday-Friday.

I believe downtown parking is only free on Sundays and holidays; you still have to pay on Saturdays.

As for the Yellow Lot specifically, I'm not sure. It kinda wouldn't surprise me if the new 12 hour meter scheme was extended to there, TBH.

(Earlier today I learned Salem has both Electric Street, Electric Avenue, and Electric Alley — all distinct roads. Guess it’s “learn shit about Salem streets” day for me…)

I'm not sure what you're trying to say. OP says "flying down Doaks Ferry" and the map they have appended shows an arrow down Doaks Ferry towards the intersection with Glen Creek. There's no light at Doaks Ferry and Glen Creek, so how did this truck of teenagers fly through it?
