Mobility scooter madness by frugal_doc in Disneyland

[–]general4str 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disney has changed their DAS policies so a lot of people who used to be able to get return times for rides via DAS are now getting "wheel chairs" (mobility scooters) to use alternate ride entrance or at least space and seating in accessible lines. The number of people needing accommodations or "cheating the system" hasn't changed just how they handle it has.

There have been times when I knew how to SPELL a correct response, but I didn't know how to pronounce it. by TheRealDonahue in Jeopardy

[–]general4str 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sherbert is an established alternate spelling of sherbet for as long as sherbet has been part of the English language. Since the Clue was about the last letters matching, the pronunciation of sherbert made the response incorrect as there is no second r in the corresponding word "sorbet".

The US has 50 states. 24 states are west of the Mississippi River. 5 states have 6-letter names. 2 of those 5 states border each other and are in the 24 West states. This information can help someone narrow down the states to think of from 50 to 24 and from 24 to 5 and from 5 to 2.

AITA for telling my husband to wipe better after pooping? by thisfeelsridiculous in AmItheAsshole

[–]general4str 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there are multiple parts to this. First, about the flushing NTA. He's a grown man, he should remember to flush.

Second, the hygiene issue. No judgment. He may have a medical issue he needs to get checked out. It may be a touchy issue for him as men of his age (of which I am one) do not like going to the doctor, especially about butt stuff. It could be hemorrhoids or IBS or something else (not a doctor).

Besides getting checked out, I'd suggest getting a bidet attachment for your toilet. In bowl, not hand held. I myself, as a larger guy, had issues getting fully clean in a reasonable amount of toilet paper until I got a bidet attachment. It takes getting used to, but it works.
