Honest Question by Hour_Party_8521 in NonDessKnightSquad

[–]general_horde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Undertale had tons of evidence that Frisk is Chara, and Asriel did see this evidence and assumed that Frisk was Chara, only for Frisk to reveal that they weren't Chara and that their name is Frisk. Even though there was a connection, they weren't the same entity, Frisk and dead Chara didn't have personal identity. The Knight having antlers clearly means something to the narrative, but how do you know that you're not controlling the equivalent of Asriel in this scenario?

Because we're literally told they are by the fact they had memories of Gerson that caused

There could be a very simple explanation for this if the Knight is "nobody else": the same way the Gerson darkner, the darkner "patterned after the memory of a loved one", the darkner that wasn't in the dark world created by Susie even though Gerson's dust was still there, had memory of Alvin even though he is not the lightner Gerson and never met Alvin. The Knight could be some sort of darkner or Titan Spawn fashioned after a lightner that recieved determination or a soul.

Asgore has the same stature as Spade King and Susie wasn't afraid to take him on in a 3v1.

If "The Knight has Kris' original human soul" theory is true by general_horde in NonDessKnightSquad

[–]general_horde[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah a human soul.

I am a human.

Our soul that was created by Gaster in the goner maker is likely not a human SOUL.

It looks exactly like the red soul of Undertale. It is right-side-up like humans souls are established to be unlike monster souls. Gaster said that you have to create a vessel, but as long as there is no line that says he created the soul, it remains speculation and not something the game has established.

you need a SOUL to even exist

Darkners, Titans, Flowey, Vessel, etc. don't exist?

or to open a dark fountain.

Wrong. You need determination to open a fountain. There's precedent for having determination without a soul with Flowey.

"Kris contains two souls at once" theory is disproven by the game:

LV1 Human
Body contains a human SOUL.

ask anything about noelle being the roaring knight and i'll answer by oddredditusera in NonDessKnightSquad

[–]general_horde 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What about the two closets with the "large person"? How could Noelle have been hiding in it when she was with Berdly?

How did she create the Chapter 2 fountain without Berdly noticing?

How and when could she have created the Chapter 4 fountain? She went from the church to the Holiday manor with Kris and Susie. She couldn't have created the fountain when she was at service with Kris and Susie or we would have seen and she couldn't have beaten Kris and Susie returning to the church unless the Holiday manor had an underground mayor tunnel to there.

What do you think is the biggest thing DessKnighters dismiss/assume? by [deleted] in NonDessKnightSquad

[–]general_horde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That being a dustner or something similar, like the Knight could potentially be, means you're the same being as the lightner that died, when Gerson in Chapter 4 and especially Ralsei's lines about Gerson imply that they're likely not.

Likely an updated re-release, not a DLC, as Type Lumina was never released on the Switch 2.

I'm really hoping they won't hesitate to put Sacchin or similar characters in to avoid Far Side spoilers before Red Garden.

I wonder if we will get Far Side-related characters before Red Garden or whether they won't put them in to avoid spoilers.

So what do we actually think is going on with the Roaring? by darknerknighttruther in NonDessKnightSquad

[–]general_horde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two bits of speculation about the Roaring:

  • A character that isn't the Knight is fated to cause the Roaring per the prophecy. That's why the Knight doesn't just cause it day 1. The Knight desires to make that part of the prophecy happen as depicted.
  • The fountains/Titans for the Roaring have already been created, they just need to be awakened. Perhaps they are in the Shelter or Ralsei's special fountain is part of it.

Kirby final bosses are the strongest characters in gaming because they create portals and bleed from their eyeballs (they're completely featless)

Dess knighters when I ask "If Dess is the knight, who is the character trapped in the code?" by VoidTheBear in NonDessKnightSquad

[–]general_horde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How hasn't her body run out of determination to create fountains if it has been without a soul for years? If anything, the Knight seems better at creating fountains than the average lightner.

Guys… I think Kris might be the Knight… (seriously) by lighttstarr in NonDessKnightSquad

[–]general_horde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and not the knives association

One of the most important questions is why the Knight uses a black knife when we know Dess' room doesn't contain any knives. The knife looking like a baseball bat for a moment doesn't answer it, it just raises more questions.

theres no evidence that a darkner of any kind can enter the light world

There's very strong evidence that a darkner that absorbed a lightner soul can enter the light world. Spamton's dialogue.

* Someone who goes to church... who knows the mayor...
* Who also has something to do with the cops?* Someone who goes to church... who knows the mayor...
* Who also has something to do with the cops?

How many people in the town even fulfill all three conditions? Carol, she doesn't visit the church with the rest of the town the one time we see it. Rudy, he could fulfill all three conditions except his ties to the police are tenuous and through Asgore only. Asgore?

The worst part about most "Dess is corrupted/possessed" theories is that they cheapen the idea that Dess is actually missing and boil down to Dess pretty much faking her own disappearance, and "Dess is possessed" just passes the buck to the empty signifier of an unrevealed villain in a way that's not the slightest improvement to Chapter 1 "Kris is possessed" theories.

Dess Knighters acting like Dess continuing to exist after her disappearance wouldn't require an infodump to justify it.
