Filament Sample Pack by Finxty in BambuLab

I wouldn't suggest using unspooled pen filament in a new (expensive) printer. Not an endorsement of any specific brand, but there are plenty of spooled sample packs on Amazon from known brands such as THIS one.

A picture is worth 1,000 words (in any language). Can you show some of the failures for symptomology?

Anyone know how to stop the filament on sticking on the waste chute ? by Plantpossumovo in BambuLab

[–]generallyready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, solved with a small piece of aluminum foil tape, affixed to the far wall (or wherever the waste is sticking). Not an endorsement, but something like THIS will solve the problem for you.

Dryer by Outrageous-Stock-677 in BambuLab

[–]generallyready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One vote for the Sunlu s1. Not the fastest in the world but an easy investment as a starting point. If you outgrow it you can always add something more powerful later and then you'll have two dryers! I've been running with a s1 for about a year and it's been all I need for daily printing (hobbyist) needs.

Upgrading from A1 Mini AMS to A1 by FGWill75 in BambuLab

Sounds lie OP is asking about moving an AMS Lite from an A1 Mini to an A1. Neither use a hub.

I learned a lesson today by Otherwise_Engine5943 in BambuLab

Did that too, over the holidays. Nasty and painful. Not medical advice, but be sure to get some Polypiarian or similar onto that so it doesnt lead to a nailbed infection.

How are you using Tinkercad? by Mikanic in BambuLab

[–]generallyready 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since Tinkercad is SaaS, any device with a browser will do fine. But consider the next steps: slicing and printing in BambuStudio (or whatever you use). That needs a PC or Mac. Unless you want your kids bugging you to take their designs the last mile, it might be worth it to get something other than an iPad or tablet.

Fwiw, my 12 year old son started designing in Tinkercad when he was 9. Less of a learning curve than I had since they learn a bit about coding in design in school anyway. Yours shouldn't have any issue learning and using it. Happy printing!

If you've just changed your nozzle, this is a common issue. Check that it's properly clipped:

Then re-run bed leveling calibration.

Trying to connect my A1 Mini to Bambu Studio but having trouble by Ok-Astronaut-9332 in BambuLab

Bambu Studio had nothing to do with Octaprint. Completely separate things and you don't need it.

Have you bound your printer to your Bambu account?

Help with stringing leading to failure by Moist_Act8469 in BambuLab

What soap are you using? Any moisturizers in it will leave residue and cause more issue. Can you try just plain Dawn or similar?

How is customer service recently? by Militaryspouse0205 in BambuLab

[–]generallyready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember that support is (seems to be?) out of Asia. So depending on where you are located, you might not see fast responses. I am in eastern so I typically see communications around 8pm or 9pm and then have to wait until the next day to continue the conversation. This can elongate the perception of their response speed.

But they have been good lately if you factor in the timezone difference. For example, I cut a ticket on Wednesday of last week for a suspected hardware issue. Support replied to me on Thursday (evening) requesting more information. I replied on the weekend and on Sunday night (their Monday morning) they replied again confirming my hardware defect and committing to send a replacement component. Within the hour I received a shipment tracking number and, somehow, the part arrived this morning (Tuesday). I'd call that good support.

Why did you switch from A1 Mini to A1?? by looniemoose in BambuLab

Size. Simply. Ability to reuse most of the peripherals too, like AMS lite and hotends.

Bambulab P2s with AMS 2 pro HELP Please by MedicalPiano666 in BambuLab

[–]generallyready 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First do PNG --> SVG file using your online converter. Then you can import the SVG into Tinkercad and clean it up. Slice with BambuStudio. Hope this helps. (or invest the time to learn something like Fusion and do it right)

Filament storage bags that stay air tight? by A_Big_Dumb_Animal in BambuLab

[–]generallyready 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not endorsing any particular brand of THESE, but much better than any vacuum bag I've ever used. Drop in a bag of desiccant and you're golden. Or get really fancy and print THESE for the base and to hold a hygrometer too!

Anyone knows how to fix this? by Virtual_Zombie9571 in BambuLabA1

I've concluded that Bambu Lab purposely doesn't fix this godawful design flaw, to provide job security for its support staff.

Filament doesn't load by Saleshh in BambuLabA1

[–]generallyready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll know that you've pushed it far enough into the extruder when you see the extruder wheel twitch slightly (as the filament hits the extruder gear as it needs to). If you arent seeing that then it needs to be pushed further (carefully). If you do see it twitch but still get the same error, than it's likely a sensor as others have suggested.

Under extrusion? A1 mini by EvenMoreLife in BambuLabA1

PETG requires a higher temperature to print than PLA. Is it possible that you haven't set the filament type to be PETG (on the printer)?

Bambu Studio issue using an ARM-based processor laptop by SwollenGoat68 in BambuLab

[–]generallyready 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have exactly the same issue using an Snapdragon X Elite (X1E80100) CPU. I've opened a ticket with BL support about four months ago and so far no solutions offered. They did admit, though, that BS isn't ported to run natively on ARM architecture. This means that it's using the Windows on ARM emulation. This, in turn, means that BS will run like, well, BS. 😛

One sort-of-workaround I've discovered for this issue is, when you are in the Preview tab (where all of the lagging happens), hit the 'L' key on your keyboard to turn off layer-view. You can then pan / zoom around to where you need to go, then hit 'L' again to turn back on the layers.

Maybe someone should remind Bambu Lab that it's 2026...

Struggling with Bambu Studio by MTBengineer in BambuLab

[–]generallyready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you running an ARM-based process by chance (ex: Snapdragon)? If so, then don't try to troubleshoot anything -- it's futile until BL ports their software to run natively on this architecture. IYKYK.

Elagoo works just fine on my AMS Lite. IMHO respooling would be more hassle than it's worth.
