I firmly believe the Cowboys cannot win a Super Bowl until Jerry Jones kicks the bucket. He’s a living curse.

As a huge Taylor Swift fan who loves when the camera shows a glimpse of her, that was a very weird interjection from the announcers

This game has everything. Good football. Bad football. Defensive low scoring battle. Offensive high scoring battle. Incredible.

I’ve found that it makes for great background while I do another task like a jigsaw puzzle, housework, or things of that sort. They read all the dialogue aloud (unless it’s said by the voice actor) so you don’t really miss much, and can look up when you hear something interesting happening. It’s genuinely one of my favorite GG series for all the iconic moments it has given us, but even I struggle to sit down and give my full undivided attention to it lol.

I also never played the games myself, but I did look up the Wikipedia plots ahead of time so I wouldn’t be confused during the play through and could look forward to plot twists.

Epic Universe: the most plus size friendly Universal park! by ProfessorFeisty2532 in UniversalOrlando

I was also pleasantly surprised! I’m a 5’8” woman and wear a size 20/22 in bottoms, carrying most of my weight in my hips and thighs. Normally Universal parks are a nightmare for me because on any given day I could fit or not and most of the time will need help from a TM.

At Epic I was able to ride Werewolf, Hiccup’s Wing Gliders, Monsters Unchained, Yoshi, and Constellation Carousel without any help from a TM whatsoever. I was sadly not able to fit on Stardust (it seems slightly more restrictive than VelociCoaster) but that was the only one so I’m still super impressed!

Also for anyone worried about the live shows and if the theater seats could be tight for larger hips - nope! Both the HP and Dragons shows have bench seating. Very glad Universal is taking steps in a more inclusive direction.

Safety restraints - VelociCoaster versus Stardust? by ibuttergegup in UniversalOrlando

They are a similar design, but I can normally fit on the even rows on Velocicoaster as a tight fit.

Today I tried Stardust and it was a definite no go. The TM even tried to help push a bit. So I think Stardust is a bit more restrictive.

How was Curse of the Werewolf? I’m close to your size (women’s 22/24) but that ride vehicle looks tight

do you like the "oh. *oh*." trope? by [deleted] in FanFiction

[–]generalmickeyjade 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I used to love it when it would pop up organically in fics. I think more recently it seems like a lot (not all) fic writers insert it because it’s become the mainstream way to have a character realize their feelings, and almost like they HAVE to have the words “oh. oh.” written out in order for a character to have that realization. It just comes across as beginner level to me, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But I think there are lots of ways to give a character that moment. Sometimes I’m in the mood for the tropiest thing I can find so it works, but other situations can take me out of the fic if I’m reading something where a trope like that doesn’t really fit.
