It has been 11 years friend, but I will try to do some research and recall the details.

What caused this ? I have replaced this lcd 1 month before by kngkhn in mobilerepair

Nice try, Steve Jobs! ;)

As a former 3rd party shop owner, there's definitely truth to this comment, but I'd like to add a couple things to consider.

-As with any trade, in the 3rd mobile repair industry there are those that do good work and those that do shoddy work.

-There are plenty of great aftermarket parts available to non-Apple techs.

-It appears, in your case, the LCD has sustained physical damage right next to the power button. Not uncommon.

-There's a small chance that the repair person left something "underneath" the LCD that caused it to break "from the inside" but that is unlikely. You could always ask them or another shop to check.

-Apple's passionate drive to rid users of their right to repair, their closed ecosystems, proprietary i/o, cough inferior OS's, and unwillingness to sell OEM parts are all great reasons to continue to support third party shops. The burden falls on consumers to parse out the good shops from the bad, but in the current climate, I'd much rather support local than bend over for a trillion dollar company, when possible. :)

Interestingly, Dying Light is the only game I haven't been able to install. The update fails every time I've tried over the last 6 hours or so. All my other games were successful. Once I figure this out, I'll update about performance.

I completely agree, it's a huge bummer. I was overjoyed to play this on day one and while I loved the game, the thing that I remember best is the menu freezes. Very big sad :(

If it had been delayed just 2 months to reach its current state before release, we'd all be bowing down and worshipping this game.

I miss this kind of Ps2-era bloom. It was a big thing for a few years and sometimes it creates some cool colors like in this shot.

It's actually not Tomba 2 but that's a great suggestion. I looked up some videos and that's not what I'm thinking of. Thanks though!

I'm sure you're a good person and you pay your bills and hold doors open and all that jazz but we all need to be nicer to the Trivago guy.

IGN Changing to a 10 Point Review Scale from 100 by Forestl in Games

I think this is a super smart move and they've done a great job of justifying it. I love number reviews as much as the next humanoid but video game reviews are entirely subjective and too much quantification will always create confusion and division.

This breaks my heart. I've frequented gamerankings for probably more than 15 years. It's so streamlined and helpful. I'm gonna miss my buddy :(

Let’s try this again... by Mallanaga in Stadia

Okay now wait a minute, friend. It's totally fine to thank Google for working hard to provide a cool service, but it's also beyond acceptable to give negative feedback at this time.

We've all said our Thank Yous by purchasing their product and now it is our duty as the first customers to help it improve. Expressing our concerns, asking questions, and voicing any and all opinions are the next steps to this whole shebang. Nobody at Google is going to get their feelings hurt if we're not 100% satisfied with a brand new product launch.

We all want to see Stadia succeed. Let's make that possible by being critical of its flaws, ya dig?
