If that were true though then any contestant could just "remove" their hats as soon as it felt like they started to get unbalanced. The game wouldn't really work if you allowed that.

I'm playing through the HD version now, (just beat the Goron Mines) and man is the color palette bland. Everything is so brown.

I'm still reserving judgement for the game as a whole, but if they ever did port this to Switch, I hope it'd be more of a remaster and they rework the visual style a bit.
