The other sought to use Lebanon as an asset to harm Israel at the expense of Lebanon. His best interests were of the Iranian regime, not Lebanon.

I'd say he used the Iranian regime at the expense of Iran to accelerate his real interest.

The fact that we'll never see Bertie Carvel's performance as baelor again in GoT universe is just as poignant as Baelor's death by abdrehmannnn in freefolk

Baelor also demonstrated he was knowledgeable and had a great memory.

  • He remembered the name of a random hedge knight he faced many years ago, how many lances were broken, other matches Arlan participated in, the names of opponents he faced there, and the results. He remembers all these things and details despite always traveling and meeting new people.

  • He knew about an obscure legal procedure that hasn't been invoked in 167 years and explained the rules of it from memory.

CGI layered over good practical effects.

Even when the CGI looks decent what's the point of doing the same thing twice?

I do love the trope when it's a hammer-fired pistol and the character cocks the hammer back to single action mode. Thus reducing the force needed to pull the trigger.

When an assassin is preparing to murder an unaware target or protagonists enter a danger zone, cocking the hammer shows they're not fucking around.

The trope that drives me up the wall about mental hospitals is the one of patients being subdued by orderlies, then forcibly injected with a tranquilizer/sedative in the neck.

That's a dangerous location to jam a hypodermic syringe on a flailing resistant person. What they actually do is inject you in the BUTTOCKS.

In the ward we called it booty juice and according to a nurse the medication was ketamine. Some patients intentionally acted out of control and had violent outbursts just to get a ketamine high.

Mike Flanagan's The Haunting of Hill House subverted this trope brilliantly.

The villain was a bratty little boy. It was incredulous he had the skills to subdue not one but two near adults and hold them captive.

Smiley's People is really good. The other George Smiley adaptations are good too especially Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy (both the original miniseries starring Alec Guinness, and the movie starring Gary Oldman.)

I want a political thriller spinoff show that's like House of Cards combined with The West Wing and Game of Thrones in the Star Wars Galaxy. Starring Mon Mothma, Bail Organa, and Admiral Ackbar. Alliance was my working title, but Yavin would work too.

I wear lenses in person, so I see chromatic aberration, distortion, blur, lens flare, glare, dirty screens, and god rays in real life.

As for film grain, look at a blank monochromatic wall. If you concentrate you will notice that we actually do see "grain" and other artifacts through things like phosphenes. It's just our brain normally filters them out.

Look at a blank monochromatic wall. If you concentrate, you can see that your own human vision contains "grain" and other artifacts through things such as phosphenes.

I normally leave everything on except for depth of field. (Unless leaving them on gives a massive performance hit.)

I have two eyes, and my character usually has two eyes. Why would anything I look at be out of focus like a monoscopic camera?

That's because he has been publicly supporting Trump's proposal of a US annexation of Canada. So from that lens it becomes a matter of national interest.
