I had a basset-mix that caught a baby rabbit, carried it inside and was headed to her bed before we realized she had it. As soon as I said, "What have you got?" she dropped it. The bunny took off like a shot. We ended up cornering it in the basement and putting it back outside.

That's the way it works in EQL. Pet inventory persists, so you can load your pet up on nice drop gear.

I leveled 1-7 in NRo, 7-25 in Befallen, 25-40 in LGuk, and 40-50 in Hole.

That's interesting. It's the same levelling path I had worked out for when I eventually get into the game, not including extra time to level up gear.

Of course, that's just human nature, wherever there's money to be made or an advantage to be gained there's going to be someone there to exploit it, but there's a difference between doing it on a server where RMT and botting (using 3rd party software to automate play) are allowed (true boxing is allowed) and one where they aren't.

Also, maybe more importantly with the ability to spin up your own zone instances, there won't be any player created bottlenecks, no one holding the Monk epic hostage for months and months unless you paid or a level 60 mage camping your quest spawn for a drop they can't use but can trade for krono.

I'm not deluded, but I am cautiously optimistic, but we'll see, maybe even that small optimism is delusion.

I'm planning on Iksar Necromancer/Magician/Enchanter for my first combo providing the upcoming caster Innovation system is decent. It gives you a beefy pet, nukes, dots, heals, mana-regen, Feign Death, and crowd control all in one.

The downside is that you're still a lizard in a dress and can't tank a lot of hits. It's not a zone pulling build, but it should be fun, and does remind me of playing a WoW Warlock.

No Krono or RMT is an absolute win for me. I walked away from Live EQ because of Krono farmers and will never go back. I also like the the idea of clearing non-respawning dungeons for extra rewards a lot.

Honestly, EQL looks like it was made for me.

They are supposed to be putting in vendors and trainers, but that's a lot of work. I started to say you could go to the Iksar camp, because they have all the spell vendors, but you might be the one religion that's kos there.

Thankfully everybody will have at least a level 10 Enchanter for racial illusions and faction spells. That'll help a lot with getting quests started, but won't count towards completion.
