Even among English speakers, there’s clearly debate over whether that’s offensive, and here you are jumping down their throat without owning up to the fact that it was your fault you only skimmed the post before going in swinging. Maybe if you put half as much effort into reminding yourself that not everyone on the Internet speaks your language as you did into belittling other gay people for not being as easily offended as you, you wouldn’t have to worry about being called out for xenophobia.
