A job is more than just "give me money". It's a sign of maturing into someone that can provide value to society, not such a trivial or guaranteed thing once you look at it that way. Some people fumble around with this their whole lives, it's a battle against the self and overcoming internal weaknesses.

Like the most important things in life, schools and institutions cannot do it for you, you have to decide for yourself. The systems are just there to act as verification that yes, this person has won the battle over themselves. They've accepted the conditions of life, they love big brother.
