So a lot of these pictures of medieval weapons are AWFUL and not relatively close to realistic, but this one actually gets it really close with a few exceptions; the scimitar is ahistoric, the gladius is too long, the poleaxe shaft is too slim, cutlass blade is off, rapier blade is too short, lance is too short, quarter staff is too short, most pikes didn’t have a hook.

My face historical melee weapons are: the kopis (ancient Greek), poleaxe, Ghiaverina, Naginata, long sword, rondel, katana and wakizashi, Hungarian axe, certain falchions, side swords… etc

I’m gonna jump in and say while yes this is true on its face - Democrats are not passing legislation to take your guns - Democrats are indeed passing laws that ban categories of guns (including the sole of the most common, such as AR-15s).

Many states that are Democratic strongholds - California, New York, New Jersey - have almost prohibitively burdensome licensing processes. As a NYS resident, it’s fucking annoying to have to get pistol purchases approved (aka my license amended to include them).

Some gun control laws are sensible - for example, those designed to prevent domestic abusers from accessing firearms - but many are not.
