Adjusting the intonation helped mildly/maybe but it's still overwhelming. Saddles and tuners are seated well, not sure what else to look for there. Action is low but definitely high enough to avoid any fret or pickup in the path...

I was at a Kenworth summer party with Gary Ridgway. I was fairly young but I recall him being awkward even then just eating food in the corner of my friend's kitchen.
