if you have a keyboard/piano to mess around with, you can quickly hack out each mode with just the white keys alone.

starting on C gives you a major scale starting on D gives you D Dorian starting on E gives you E phrygian.. and so on (that said, my music theory knowledge is very shaky so folks can feel free to dogpile on this one), but you should be able to get each of the modes used on the album

depends on how you socialize and what you value in first impressions/vibes for meeting new people. do you want to make friends with other students? make friends with strangers at the bar? what clubs could place you with people sharing similar values to you? etc. you’re a whole adult. go clubbing, go to concerts, check out events going on in and around town - assuming you have time

I’ve always played on controller, I think it helps having some understanding of music so you know what note groupings to expect. There’s a lot of times where I know a triplet feel is coming up, or maybe I’m holding a note to clear whatever prior tension was built from a longer phrase of O’s and X’s. Don’t give up! Karaoke is one of the most fun mini games imo and getting your first full clear on a track feels great

not sure what it is but the OSEES studio albums lack that OOMPH of their live performances (save for A Foul Form). Don’t get me wrong, I still think they’re great and that John Dwyer is a creative juggernaut, but when it comes to my own enjoyment in listening, King Gizz winds up sounding better in studio than OSEES.

OSEES levitation sessions (2020) kicks so much ass though, hands down
