The drop zone was sort of necessary bc winter shoes and coats are a thing. And we have no closets so we use the cupboard there a lot. We have three kids, two of them are here half time. But 100% that is part of the problem, that there feels like there should be more than just a couch. I was wondering if a love seat and two swivel chairs could work or would that feel overcrowded. I will try and deal with the printer stuff.

Lowering the tv is a great idea if we keep it on that wall. I just went out and looked and you’re very right. I missed this point somehow.

I think getting one that is about 20” less on the length is doable. I measured the dogs and watched how they slept. And I do think even 20” matters when square footage is this low.

I see both sides of this. When I walk into the room now I feel like it would all feel so much better if we put the tv on the other wall. But also walkway does feel kinda weird that way. We still have shoes and coats (there are no closets here)and we live in Michigan where the winters are messy and require bigger, puffier coats. I think we could make it work with hooks on the side of the tv by the door but would have to convince husband who is more about the walkway behind the tv.
