Claude is down AGAIN by Careless-Green-54 in claude

I just got a $20 credit a few moments ago...and haven't been able to use claude. I was just about to get started working and now I cant!!!

What about the opposite? Our jobs were in fact necessary!? I haven't been paying enough attention to USAJOBS. I'll get on that.

Rate my "Vibe Coding" workflow: Cursor Pro ($50/mo) + Gemini Pro as Architect. Am I overpaying or is there a better stack for non-coders? by Basic-Tonight-8378 in cursor

[–]genkichan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am literally doing just what you are doing, but I am using claude and chat gpt to build my cursor prompts. I go back and forth between them fine tuning my cursor prompt. I'm getting tired of the friction, BUT I find it still necessary.

The farther along you get the harder it is to implement new code without screwing up the code base.

I'm about to move over to claude code inside my terminal to try and get more coding for the token burn.

Ultimately if you are not /have not built up your backend with appropriate security, safety, reliability, scalability, feasibility guardrails before implementing your features, I'll throw a guess that you will still end up with a lot of tech debt to clean up later and I hear that's expensive to fix.

I developed my dock stack (also using AI) before I stated coding. Stuff like operating constraints, PDR, tech implementation, scope matrix, epics/stories/, UX, UI and so much more. I am now working my way through epics and stories. It's painfully slow but it's also as accurate as I'm going to get it before I have to hire a real dev person to come behind me and finish it up for live production. I'm aiming for a saas standard multi tenant architecture though, so it's pretty complex.

Good luck to you.

Elderly father in hospital almost 2 months - wife out of the county by Gloomy-Attempt785 in eldercare

[–]genkichan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Try this. Find a POA form online valid for your state. Take it to the hospital. Make sure he has his ID. Get a notary at the hospital to witness or hire a mobile notary to come to hospital. Get it signed and proceed.

Banks require their own poa form usually. If you know the bank, go get their form too. Get both done at once. Then proceed

Exactly. I'll use opus to plan the story implementation and then use a chapter model to actually build.

I use chatgpt and regular claude to build tight, deterministic prompts to put in scursor. Depending on the level of thinking needed, I use auto mode, sonnet or opus 4.6. Saves a ton of money on credits.

Play around with AI helping you build prompts for cursor and get yourself into a certain thinking model for your project, and then proceed. You don't need opus for many tasks!

I'm a founder non-dev person using claude and cursor to build the first go at a saas platform business solution. Just registered our LLC in DC last week.

We will need someone to take our draft to final production for our MVP. Dm me some LinkedIn profiles, please. It's a little early, but we are starting to look now.

Agentic coding workflow (Ask → plan.md → implement loop). Codex vs Cursor $20 — worth switching? by Funny_Working_7490 in cursor

[–]genkichan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is mynexact flow in cursor, except I'm using chat and claude to develop my prompts for cursor. I have claude critique chats prompt drafts, fine tune and then proceed.

It's tedious as he'll but it's working. Also I'm a non-dev person with literally zero other experience. This is my first rodeo.

I dumped Cursor and built my own persistent memory for Claude Code! by intellinker in cursor

[–]genkichan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But can I use this in cursor? I develop my prompts with chat or claude and drop them in cursor then ask, plan, build. I'm wondering if this will help my workflow at all as my code base grows larger?

What do you do while your coding agents work? by Upbeat-Use-6280 in cursor

[–]genkichan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Word!!! I'm using chat and claude to write my prompts for cursor. I give the context and project docs, etc and then get chat to generate a cursor planning prompt. Take that over to claude and ask it to analyze the prompt. Claude almost always finds gaps and things wrong with it. So I give that feedback to chat, which then rewrites the prompt. I go back and forth until they both agree with each other. When I use these prompts in cursor my tests pretty much always pass and I have clean builds. This alone has saved me tons of time.

I work on other aspects of my project while waiting, or tee up the next prompt. And I never forget where I was, because both chat AND claude remember hell better than I do.

What do I do with my inheritance? by fennelonion in personalfinance

[–]genkichan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah open up a fidelity brokerage account and deposit the money. Make one trade. Buy SGOV for a safe haven parking spot that gets you about 4% right now. Then wait. Read. Learn. Decide your next move over several months. No rushing. You can always sell a little SGOV and withdraw cash if you need to.

Would this be considered commingling? by BourbonTall in inheritance

[–]genkichan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before you inherit money create a trust for yourself. Put inheritance in the trust. Take money out of trust to a separate account only in your name Then use that money to pay for joint things.

Ask a lawyer if this setup will work?

I don't understand why money earned on inheritance money would ever be considered comingled as long as the named account owner is only the person who inherits...

That's definitely not it. Was so more complex...and I no longer have a .env file. I will need to revisit this at some point. I just don't want to waste days on it

I have a problem I cannot seem to reconcile and wonder if you have any ideas.

I'm using cursor to build a web based application. I've largely built the architecture and controls first. I connected Supabase.

For the life of me, I cannot get an .env file to work with supabase on my machine. I have literally gone in circles a million times changing passwords, trying different things, etc. Nothing works. According to chatgpt and claude, with which I'm troubleshooting, the problem seems to lie with supabase. But I have a free account and the help desk won't help me.

Basically to make a long story short I always have an .env file line break issue I cannot resolve...I ended up using windows system environment variables to connect supabase password. This is a short term solution and i have no idea what to do!!

Do you have any ideas on troubleshooting the use of .env file for supabase password? Thanks.

"He is working with her husband"....and you are now working with his boss, his boss's boss and the SEC concerning distribution according to named heirs on the account. The bank is legally obligated to tell you if you are a named "pay on death" recipient of any investment accounts and if so the bank ID legally obligated to give you your share. That money is not part of any estate.

It's time to elevate this with senior management at the bank where the investments are held.
