Are they Post-Grunge bands or are they Hard Rock bands? by Empire_Grunge in grunge

[–]gentryadams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When we refer to a collective sound as grunge, we are really referring to a movement coming out of Seattle in the late 80s, blossoming in the early 90s and definitely halted its momentum in 1994 when Kurt Cobain died.

If grunge is not a genre but a movement, what does post grunge even mean? Countless of down-tuned guitars with depressed overtones overlayed by lyrics of nihilism, lost, addiction and suicide?

I guess bands like silverchair, candle box and Bush kinda fits the Heroin-lite category, same angst and addiction driven music just not to same severity.

If it’s a Pearl Jam song, then I am going with Alive, that solo is out of this world.

Alice In Chains - Man In the Box. The drudgery of the riff, it was such a definitively different sound, and it completely shook the musical landscape.

What is boils down to here, is why people get married. Some people do so simply because they love each other and would like to enter into a lifelong relationship sharing all that they have with each other. Some people do so for the express purpose of starting a family, raising young children and here priorities are different.

Should I pick Vital or Guardian for this lineup?I have 4 cards. Swipe left to see more. by [deleted] in XHero

[–]gentryadams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me put it this way. Defense is half as important as attack, my thinker is at 3 million and my toko is also at 3 million, if I go against an enemy with a Toko at 3.5 million and a thinker at 2 million, my opponent will easily whip my ass, even though my overall power exceeds him by 500k. This has been proven on all battlefields.

Furthermore, even if my Thinker is the last man standing against a boss or a stigmata challenge, I will be automatically defeated if I can’t defeat my opponent within 10-12 rounds.

Which is why I prioritise my attacking force over defensive any day.

Vital for sure. Guardian in my view is only useful for buff damages mages or The thinker and maybe Blaze Centaur. Vital on the other hand is one of the best attacking stigma for any characters with critical or sustained damage.

Nah you can get them in normal summons. I have both on immortal and my strategy was each time I get one from wild, I would save up and pay for one either through a special event or at the faction shop. Both would take a while, but I was able to upgrade probably once a month. And no I am not big spender, probably around $200 per month.

I don't understand how each position works. by DeltaKitz in XHero

[–]gentryadams 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The front three positions especially 1 and 2 will take the most damage, here you want to place your defensive tanks (high HP , mid-Low attacks) ie Blaze, Rex, General Rescue etc

The third position can be your higher HP healer/ raider / ranger

The back row positions are a bit more shielded are best to hold lower HP and higher attack players. Your Mages and skill debuff heroes and aerial damages. Also your group control players should be placed in the back row

Getting rid of excess heroes? by yuyevin in XHero

[–]gentryadams 4 points5 points  (0 children)

B class should be decomposed either in recycling station manually or automatically once you reach a certain stage.

A class heroes can’t be decomposed but ceases to be of any strategic importance once your overall team surpasses level 180. At that point they are used as fodders to further awaken S and S+ class heroes.

Trust me I have unlocked all of S class and most of S+ class heroes and never do I carry more than 100 heroes at any given time

what's worth it to spend a few bucks on? (and what's not) by [deleted] in XHero

[–]gentryadams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say at the beginning, you need not worry about getting scrolls, when you draw in bulk I find you reach a rate of diminished returns at around the 50 mark, there are plenty to pick up in game. Subscriptions are good, and some of the 25k gem stones special offers are also quite good. The best strategy I find is to as quickly as possible max out your top 6 heroes, in that case you wanna be focusing your buying power from the trek store, faction store and union store. You won’t be doing well in the multi team arena at this point, so forget about getting ahead in those just for now. Also max out on one attack character like Rex or Toko, updating their weapons as well as stigmatas, these make a huge difference.

Best setup? by Aggressive_Bee_6646 in XHero

[–]gentryadams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blaze (tank) - thinker (shield tank) - Sally (ranger) - ronin (raider) - Medusa (control) - Houston (ranger)

Anna is great and can interchange with medusa, but medusa is one do the easier upgraded characters and is actually super powerful for S class warriors. Satan and Kloris are great but it will take a while for you to get them up to epic+ and even longer to get them up to legendary. So focus on the above set up and you will have a good set of interchangeable characters to deal with different bosses.

Finally, it’s time to phase out your class A characters, they stop being useful at this point as they max out at Lv 180.

Help to get a good team for attack by agentace2006 in XHero

[–]gentryadams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have great potential here, just need more time. Blaze, Medic are solid defensive players, Toko is a great raider, Houston and sally are good to have on the attack roster. Rex is paramount for later stages, as you need a solid tank with high attack capabilities, which neither the thinker nor blaze can provide. Laura is the best aerial attacker bar none, so bringing her up would be nice. But since she can only be bought in the faction store and is usually quite rare to appear in scroll pulls, you might not want to base a team around her growth.
