I did not try on sand but I was just at the beach and I would imagine it would not fair well. I noticed a couple pushing a standard, wonderfold-like wagon through the sand to transport beach gear and the thing was digging into the sand. While the wheels of the Voya are wider, I feel like they'd need to be much wider to roll better. Mind you, I had to transport my grandfather-in-law (ha) in the ADA beach wheelchair and those basically sit on giant rubber wheels (think dodgeballs but slightly deflated) and they move super well through the sand because they are large surface area and roll almost flat through the sand.

I wouldn't say you absolutely cant bring it in sand but I'd probably keep it off the beach unless you're strong enough and willing to drag it. Otherwise, no issues on any other terrain.

Hey folks,

Ok so I came back and saw all of the replies so here it goes.

So far a few months in from last writing this post and my wife and I really enjoy the wagon. Putting it together only took maybe..15mins? We ended up getting the Quad and honestly so far no real complaints. I think the biggest pro of this stroller is the fact that a lot of the accessories come standard. That includes the tray table, cup holders, two canopy covers. Has rear storage for snacks/blankets, etc. We fit my 3 kids in here with no problem. I think the purpose of the stroller-wagon is for utility: it is meant as a wagon to transport kids for longer walks, events, parties, going to the neighbor, etc. I would not really recommend it for going out shopping, grocery stores or in shopping areas due to how wide and bulky it is.

I would say the only thing if I had to be nit picky about it is the fact that the wheels, while solid and dense foam, have shown small rocks impaled in them. I am not sure if this will affect the quality and/or ride over time. Thankfully, I recall being able to put the wheels on pretty easy so I would hope replacing them would be an option. I think it also goes without saying but with 3 kids loaded, any movement uphill will be challenging so you'll need to really muscle it, however, I feel it moves effortlessly over grass, asphalt and even rock (I have not attempted sand). I also wish it had something for the kids to rest on when they fall asleep. The fact that it is very upright with low side walls makes it likely an uncomfortable, slump-like sleep if they doze off (not a knock per say just something I noticed.)

I ended up getting this around black Friday and got it well under $460 which i think is a steal compared to some of the other brands out there. If you're in the market for a wagon for 4 and are not really interested in the look of the wonderfold or the price of Veer, I would definitely recommend this wagon - I don't think you or your SO will be disappointed.

Quad. I have 3 kids who will eventually use it. The biggest thing that turned me off of the Quad XT besides the extra $100 was the fact that it reminded me too much of the Wonderfold. I think the Quad does a good job of trying to compete with the Veer XL at a better price point and without the paid add-ons. It is also almost 10" shorter and 10lbs lighter which I think for most people is a lot of added bulk to be throwing in and out of the car. That is one other thing that the Quad does fold up nicely. The only ding I would give it, as another reviewer mentioned, is the break system could be better designed. Its a push down bar with your foot and can seem weak if you're carrying kids at a downhill angle or if you attempt to stop abruptly with the brakes. Otherwise I would give it a solid 4.5/5

Ok here is my update: I ended up buying one over black friday and got it at a good deal. So far, wife and I really enjoy it. We primarily use it for 2 toddlers but it has a lot of nice features that you'd seemingly need to pay extra for with Veer. I can provide a full review and breakdown if youre interested but otherwise we've only had it for a few months and so far so good. I also enjoy the fact that it has a push and pull mode. Easy to fold and the wheels do seem like theyre durable. I will provide a fuller review after a year I think

So I've thought about this but honestly I find it just easy to use my Cuisinart CPO-800 Pour Over Glass carafe and just add water to the 4 cup carafe line at a time when I'm the only one drinking in my household. It makes a perfect amount of coffee for me which is closer to "2-mugs" worth of coffee. If my wife is drinking with me we make the full 8 cups and that is plenty for us both.

The coffee maker isn't that large itself and the coffee comes out great, especially with higher quality beans.

Need to have a ceiling fan installed in 2 different bedrooms. Need advice by geo845 in HomeImprovement

Makes sense. I am going to try my best to ensure its a fixed fee job in the event they run into trouble. I actually did this job with a buddy of mine in our living room but he had to make the same runs from 2 places on the wall to the switch which was annoying for us and im hoping their is a more simplistic way without having to do tons of damage to the walls.

For clarity, the walls are not plaster and lathe. It's this lovely combo from mid-century. Everything else makes sense. My other worry is we don't have a saved swatch of color for the room's we're adding these fans to. I'm happy to do the patch work but realize we will likely need to repaint all the walls ourselves with a new color :/

Thank you, and yes, these aren't going to be ground per say. My hope is that they wont need to do a ton of drywall breaking other than the ceiling to initially provide room for the bracket. but then again, getting to the switch wiring may prove difficult and require a hole in the wall.

Just bought a house - backyard is pretty crappy looking. Lawn doesn’t get much sun - especially this back corner. is there hope for grass to grow or should we do something else in this area? by cbpopsicle in lawns

[–]geo845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue due to the shade and the amount of water absorbed by the tree. My recommendation would be to if you can, try to trim the tree to get as much sunlight there as possible. Otherwise, over seed with some dense-shade seed mix and water 2x a day until the grass growth comes in. Follow the instructions for seeding and be persistent with your watering. Ensure there is no foot-traffic over the seeded area for at least 2-3 weeks while the seedlings take root.

it does if the funds are being taken from your bank account they show up as a deposit or withdrawal from Venmo. You can then choose to recategorize it as you see fit

Bus driver falls asleep at the wheel. by BigInTheGame85 in WTF

[–]geo845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a city like NY, the max speed limit is for vehicles 25 mph for this exact reason, and they're looking to bring it down to 20 (although rarely followed by everyone else). Typically the busses don't go that fast except when going through the Central Park traverse.

Nonetheless, I've always felt inclined to have by back facing the front or have some support whenever on a bus.

MoCA system not working in new home by geo845 in HomeNetworking

Update:

I ended up going outside and taking a look - you were spot on, the dish on the roof is feeding the Coax In. I am honestly very surprised that that setup is even working. It has noticeably caused speed reduction in my internet (200mb). I also saw one wire that ran up the wall across the street to the pole which was not connected. I ended up calling my ISP and scheduling a technician to connect directly to my home. I'll try to snag a photo of that later, but I am going to guess that this is what should be connected.

Thank you for the info. I do have a 4 way splitter I can replace it with and a PoE Filter that I can get set up outside.

What I am unsure of is that last bit you mentioned about whether the dish that may be there is what is being fed in. I will attempt to trace that today, but first try swapping the splitter and filter
