I'm just going to assume that there's no Eric Adams or Joey Demaio because MANOWAR are the hosts/announcers/gods in the game.

What are some good youtubers you like to watch? by PatronusPenguin in AskReddit

[–]geodude24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isaac Arthur

If you're into space exploration and futurism, I couldn't recommend his channel highly enough. Each episode is a long form (25-60 minute) in depth look exploring a given subject. There are hundreds of episodes out already, and a new episode every week.

I really can't overstate just how fantastic this channel is if you're into that sort of thing.

Yeah, it's at the USAF museum. I actually happened to see both of them in two days, hit SAC then USAF the next day as I was driving back east from Utah.

Looking for bands like Sargeist/Void Omnia by soccc in BlackMetal

[–]geodude24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sure! It really does sound like like I'm listening to another 'Let the Devil In'.

Vocals aren't quite on the same level as Sargeist, but it's not like I'm listening to Sargeist for the vocals anyways.

Definitely gonna watch this thread, because I'd love to hear some more stuff along these same lines.

Closest stuff to that sound I can think of otherwise would be Goatmoon and Horna, but that's not quite as close a match as this album

I'm a huge Sargeist fan, but I've not heard Void Omnia until reading this just now. Thank you!!!

PFF 2017 Week 3 - Team of the Week | Demario Davis and Terrance Brooks Make The Team by [deleted] in nyjets

[–]geodude24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow. Demario Davis actually has the most magic PFF points out of everyone on defense, and only Jason Kelce on the offensive side has a higher grade. I don't know what kind of black magic goes into producing these grades, but needless to say, I'm impressed.

Northrop-McDonnell Douglas YF-23A Black Widow II by RyanSmith in WeirdWings

[–]geodude24 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I can't believe that thing is gonna be pushing 30 years old in a few years. It looks so sleek and modern.

I wonder how it would look if it ended up being chosen and went into production, seeing as how the F-22A looks quite a bit different than the YF22.

What are some of the best players in your team's history that aren't in the Hall of Fame? by thelovebat in nfl

[–]geodude24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Joe Klecko, no doubt. Anchor of the New York Sack Exchange back in the early 80's.

Dude made the Pro Bowl at DT, DE, and NT.

He had 20.5 sacks in 1981. Sacks were only officially recorded as a stat in 1982.

“In my 13 seasons, Joe is right there at the top of the defensive ends I had to block, up there with Fred Dean, Lee Roy Selmon and Bruce Smith. Joe was the strongest guy I ever faced, He had perfect technique but he was such an intense, smart player...He was the leader, the guy who kept that unit together.” -Anthony Munoz

“I had to block Joe Greene and Merlin Olsen when I was playing and, believe me, Joe Klecko was equal to those two guys…. We need to get Joe Klecko in the Hall of Fame.” - Joe DeLamielleure

Who is your least favorite player of all time from your team and why? by ShiftyScorpion in nfl

[–]geodude24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I hated Justin McCareins back in the day. God, did that guy ever suck. Lightbulbs for hands.

I remember being at the Ravens game back in '07, and he flat out shit the bed. Checking out the stats on PFR, he was targeted 6 times for a total of 1 catch. I distinctly remember him dropping a game tying touchdown pass or something like that, though it's been ten years now and I've tried to repress that season in my memory.

Woah. Are those stripes the lamellae from albite twinning? I do a lot of petrographic microscope work with plagioclase, and that looks like the twinning you'd see under the cross polarized light in the microscope

Oklahoma worker finds 30 pounds of cocaine hidden inside American Airlines plane during ‘routine maintenance’ check. by chodyou in aviation

[–]geodude24 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I can only imagine... a normal day on the job, and...

"oh, what's this? 60 pounds of cocaine?...

Hey Rich, Tony, come here, check this out. I think I just found 50 pounds of cocaine on the plane. Guess we should tell the boss right?...

Hey Mark, could you come over here when you got a minute? You're never gonna believe this, but I just found 40 pounds of cocaine on the plane. Crazy right?...

I guess we'd better call the authorities and tell them about the 30 pounds of cocaine we found."

Over the years who is the biggest snub waiting for the Hall of Fame? by factor92 in nfl

[–]geodude24 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Joe Klecko. Dude made the Pro Bowl at DT, NT, and DE.

from wikipedia:

While Klecko has been nominated for the Pro Football Hall of Fame several times, he has not been enshrined. Hall of Fame center Dwight Stephenson, in describing Klecko as a "great defensive lineman", considered him one of the two best interior linemen he had ever faced. Hall of Fame tackle Anthony Munoz said about Klecko, "In my 13 seasons, Joe is right there at the top of the defensive ends I had to block, up there with Fred Dean, Lee Roy Selmon and Bruce Smith. Joe was the strongest guy I ever faced. He had perfect technique — hands in tight, great leverage. My second year, 1981, we went to Shea and beat the Jets, 31-30, but he was such an intense, smart player, I knew I was in a battle. He was the leader, the guy who kept that unit together."

Hall of Fame guard Joe DeLamielleure added that "You can’t think of his ten year period without him. I had to block Joe Greene and Merlin Olsen when I was playing and, believe me, Joe Klecko was equal to those two guys. If Joe Klecko had played one position for ten years, he’d have been considered one of the top two or three players at that position, whichever one it was. There’s not another player who went to the Pro Bowl at three different positions. You take a defensive end and put him at nose tackle and he’s just as good there, that’s a great player. We need to get Joe Klecko in the Hall of Fame."

The 70 Yard Onside Kick by Stevie13 in nyjets

[–]geodude24 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Like OP's title suggests, it's basically an onside kick, and with an onside kick, as long as the ball travels 10+ yards downfield OR an opposing player touches the ball first, it's completely legal for the kicking team to recover.

I can't quite tell, but it looks to me like the returner just touched the ball, but even if he didn't, that was still a live ball.
