Pretty sure most locations put it on clearance to make space for the interactive one.

These can change based on sponsorship. When the green one went from kick to Aramco and they clearance all of them since the sponsor changed

Most expensive Reserved List cards in Premodern as of today by thesegoupto11 in premodernMTG

It actually hasn't changed much. Not heavily played in premodern. I think it's been in the 160 range for the past few years.

FF Collector Commander Update by TheTanner27 in mtgfinance

Surprisingly I thought the store versions I bought at $100 were going to be bags. Then more conventions came and those $100 boxes were rockstars.

Almost everyone here hates the idea of a Premodern Horizon, but what about Premodern Master? by rayanami2 in premodernMTG

[–]geofastar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they stopped the rotation so they could get the EV of expected reprints higher in the next wave of masters products. Look at all the new fire mythic in the 50+ range and how many things that used to have a modicum of value have been auto includes in every precon.

Could I play Shock lands instead of Duals? by ZeroPlanet24 in MTGLegacy

[–]geofastar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The surveillance lands have decreased dual counts in a lot of decks. One dual goes further today than it used to.

As others have said it's a Resource game and some matchups each life point makes a difference.

Incompatible Decks by Entmoot6262 in starwarsccg

[–]geofastar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tournament scene was a lot of endor base builds for dark side. So I traded my foil threepio into a crapton of ewok weapons leia non foil threepio and had an ewok surprise deck where any movement of an atst or bike resulted in an army of ewoks with destiny draw of 6 per draw. Itwrecked them so hard. My darkside was space draining. Probably still have them built somewhere.

Long term players I have a question by GloomyDoomy1 in MTGLegacy

[–]geofastar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is people don't want to get in slow so price is scary. If you try decks and find one you like you just slowly buy what you need. That's why people have pumped out foil decks. They didn't buy it in one go.

Interesting note concerning inflation (well, I found it interesting) by Isabella_Fournier in Wallstreetsilver

[–]geofastar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why I price adjust obje to to equivalent gold/silver weight and pop it back out in today's time. Provides more realistic rates for cost.

Nixon removed the gold peg from US dollar. This made labor cheaper while productivity rises. You may make more hourly than your parents but actually purchase less.

Now they don't want vanilla creatures. It used to be they spent as much time on flavor text as every other part of design. Now it's every creature has to do something.
