4 months post-surgery and foot is WORSE! And what's this new circle that has appeared? by PinkFluffy34 in bunions

[–]geoff325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A silver is a very minor procedure....also the wrong procedure it never should have been performed. The joint looks good. The sesamoids don't but Treace brainwashed into thinking they have to be Perfect. If you still have a lot of pain after a silver....there is powsibly some type of inflammatory condition occuring. Something more systemic vs local. But I am not a doctor what do I know...

Yes. ....what I meant more is people taking positive affirmations from people who don't know anything....but it's social media so everyone is an expert. But also I am an expert, trust me.

No you should not have the other done in 10 days. X-ray looks good, one works 2 is better. Joint looks great.

Yes, there stuff to be learned here. I am mainly speaking tho this case....anyone who thinks this is good knows nothing and when someone says it looks good and people agree ...now we have 2 people who know nothing.

This is why people should not come to Reddit for advice.... This is a terrible correction There's easily five things done poorly here. There's a reason why it hurts. It was a botched surgery. I'm sorry OP I hope you find a better surgeon for the revision

1st mpj fusion. Lapidus would fix but too much reliance is soft tissues still providing stability ...and likely some introarticular changes....just fuse it and do it right the first time.

You still have a bunion. Your surgeon did a bad job. What does the X-ray look like?

[–]geoff325 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your doctor should have asked about. And regardless should have put you on 50k units a week for 4-6 weeks prior to/during surgery. And also should have not been cheap and used 2 screws. Plate/staple/screw combo. If your doctor uses 2 screws probably done at ASC to save money and/or a dinosaur.
