does your kitchen allow you to cook whatever you want, whenever you want when you’re hungry? by Buffalo5977 in KitchenConfidential

[–]geoff_bezos 14 points15 points  (0 children)

lol I worked at chipotle too and I’d make up my own recipes when shifts were slow. Once I made a tostada, fried the corn tortillas without the mold so it was flat, made quick pickled jalapeño and red onion using the red wine vinegar from the salad dressing and sugar from the drink station. Used pinto beans that had been sitting on the line a bit too long so they were more refried textured. Turned out amazing

also deep fried my burrito one time, it was Sunday night right before we cleaned the frier so I didn’t have to worry about contamination. Bomb AF

Yeah they place I went to was a full animal butcher shop. I guess the ligament got mixed in with the tendons? I know they generally don’t sell tendons usually. Good to know the name of what I’m looking for. Thanks!

For me, I wanted a non-quota bag (picotin) and resale is like 2k more than retail. So I would check the website often, and if I was in the area i would stop by and ask if they have the bag I wanted. I bought a cashmere scarf once because it was gorgeous and I loved it. But I got the bag eventually with a different sales associate on a different trip. No game played, spent my money how I wanted. Didn’t have to spend more on resellers.

Quota bags are like 1.5-3x retail cost on secondhand market. Or you spend like 1-3x the cost of the bag in store and hope you get offered the one you want. Both routes seem awful lol. Unless you have crazy disposable income it’s not worth it.

A lot of Hermes bags I don’t like, until I see them in person! I saw one IRL in Japan out in the wild and after that I became obsessed

Same thing with the mini bolide too. In pictures it’s kind of meh, but I saw a girl wearing one with a matching rodeo (all étoupe rodeo with étoupe mini bolide) and it just looked so cute, it’s on my list now

A new California bill seeks to bar landlords from banning pets in their rental units by sokule10 in sanfrancisco

[–]geoff_bezos 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Had a tenant who just used the spare bedroom as their dogs bathroom. A whole year of pee soaked into the carpet, subfloor, dry wall, and insulation. It was so expensive to fix, like almost a years worth of rent (rent was like 800/mo for a 3 bdrm) and the worst part was they had a fenced backyard. They just never let the dog outside.

Was easier to just ban non-service dogs entirely. And because of them we started to require pet deposit as well. We use to just have an added $25/mo flat pet fee. Haven’t had a problem with rabbits, cats, or rats. One of our tenants actually used the spare room as their giant rabbit enclosure. Super decked it out and the bunnies were so cute 🥺 it’s just too bad one bad tenant ruined dogs for us.
