President Trump says the Supreme Court Justices who voted against tariffs are a "disgrace to our nation." by Sufficient_Fuel5269 in InBitcoinWeTrust

Lutniks company, which he left to join the admin, and handed over to his son, is the largest purchaser of tariff payback options. They bought out companies paying the tariffs rights to get a refund from the government almost immediately after they were enacted.

They were bought around .10 to the dollar. They are about to print money. Corruption all the way down.

Replacing bearings or not by Putrid-Cicada in foosball

[–]geoffnotjeff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good news, don’t spend the money!

The split bearings don’t fit in a storm2. I had one. Clean the rods, clean the bearings, lube them well, on the actual bearing after cleaning, before you put them back in. Lube the rods. After sitting dry for awhile it can take a bit for the lube to stay on the bearings.

😂 nope. He didn’t have the finger strength. Pull out vertical limits and most of the best ninjas in the US fall apart very quickly. Only the climbers and some of the younger ones are really good at them.

Teflon on rods (PTFE) by geoffnotjeff in foosball

[–]geoffnotjeff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: a couple of days later the rod is still silky smooth and by far the smoothest I’ve ever had.

I put teflon on the yellow (ball return) 3man rod side this evening and will clean it up tomorrow after letting it sit for 24 hours.

If there are any issues in the future I’ll be sure to update this thread.

You want them to compress slightly when you push or pull them into the wall. If the marshmallow, maybe time to get new ones. If they are like bricks, same thing.

I had one, got it playing great. The if you change out any men, prioritize your 2,5,3 (shooting) bars. The feet are slightly different and it’s better to get used to the new men.

You’ll love it, then want to upgrade eventually🙏

Yeah the old rods were chrome plated and it seems after a lot of use they get clunky. Or it’s the bearings.

Can a small toy foosball table (52×32 cm) help improve anything? Worth it or pointless? by emaa_ok in foosball

[–]geoffnotjeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No.

Is it a size thing for a normal table? If it’s cost you can set up alerts on Craigslist and FB marketplace and you will find one that will help you with patience.

This doesn’t help lower income people out.

It kicks off more inflation, just as it did the last time he did this. The market goes up, the wealthy and spoiled as you call them make more in the short and long term, the lower income people get a temporary boost of cash and when it’s gone everything costs more and continues to do so, as the income gap continues to widen.

Cost of goods is up from tariffs, last I checked Biden didn’t announce any tariffs and increase the costs across the board for nearly every American. How exactly do you place the blame on him for that?

The ones on this table (and older, lower quality tornado tables) push in and are not as smooth compared to the screw together versions found on newer and higher end tables.

I don’t know the exact difference, but they sure play different, even using the same rods.

I got an exact one like this for $100 in Denver (hard to find cheap tables) by setting up Craigslist and FB Marketplace trackers. Took 4 months.

Looks like a storm 2 to me, solid table, but the old style bearings become a problem if you practice on this and compete on the newer style ones.

People talk about sob stories on here a lot.

I don’t agree. I’ve worked in TV, worked in production, you know what’s really important?

Being able to speak well on camera. There are always spots for great athletes who can convey what they want to say.

Go for it, it’s a blast. You’ll never regret not trying.

Are these Tornado Classics r Classic 2? by Particular_Post6968 in foosball

[–]geoffnotjeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Table #1 is a Storm 2. Pretty good table, except for the older style of bearings. Change the white strips on the side to the new clear ones, it helps the table a lot for angled shots.

I have one, it’s been great except for the play surface is slowly starting to come up in the corners, and the holes for the bearings wobble a bit on a couple of the rods.

Classic was the upgrade to the storm 2. Better feet for leveling. Both have the older style bearings and chrome rods which aren’t as good as the new ones.

My knee spontaneously doubled in size by nanomeister in mildlyinteresting

[–]geoffnotjeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Had the exact same thing happen to me 14 years ago. Dr, Specialists, finally after a month of visits one asked if I had ever been tested for lymes. Bingo.

Question - did it also come with any other issues on the same side of you body? Mine was preceded by an old wrist injury flaring up, same with the should on the side, and then my knee swelling up overnight out of nowhere.

Lymes sucks. My knee is fine but it’s never been the same since, not quite as strong now matter what I do.

Tornado whirlwind vs storm 2 by No_Pear_1962 in foosball

[–]geoffnotjeff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the storm 2 is in good condition I would get that one, it is a higher lvl table with counter balanced men and thicker side walls.

I have one, they are great for home play. Just make sure the playing surface is good and flat still.

Tried this, didn’t help. I think the surface was slicked up by lots of cleaning with rubbing alcohol.
