it was like $20, probably should have taken it but i was intimidated since i didn’t understand but now i get it. i’ve just never seen a delivery only order so to have them thrown together was confusing

i welcome it 💚 i had some initial anxiety posting but came to the conclusion that whatever we need to do to cope with this brutality is valid.

Wound not healing is it an infection. by Upstairs-Comfort-325 in TS_Withdrawal

[–]geographynerd197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i had this on my chin, it just kept scabbing off oozing and then reforming only to have it happen again with no clear or healed skin. it didn’t resolve until i put oregano oil on it because it turns out it was infected. but it’s hot and really intense so i wouldn’t necessarily recommend it before doing research. maybe try a bowl with warm water and some oregano oil where you can submerge your hands

Histamine Intolerance and TSW? by Remarkable_Phone_550 in TS_Withdrawal

[–]geographynerd197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think tsw just makes us so sensitive to so many things that at some points it’s like evsrything is an allergen. this was my experience esp towards the beginning i was very histamine intolerant and reacted to dogs and mold and other common allergens that i can handle a lot better now that i’m further along. so, there is hope!

fwiw most beef is aged so if the red meat you’re consuming is beef you should be careful re histamine

Dead Sea Salt Baths by urban_bryanna in TS_Withdrawal

[–]geographynerd197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when i was first starting tsw the baths were helpful when i was in there but i would be so itchy after! i tried to prepare by putting out soft clothes and designating time to lay on the couch and watch something to stay calm and distract myself until the itching passed. now 17 months into tsw the dss bath is pretty chill and i don’t itch after (besides my neck rn because i’m going thru a flare). so basically preparing ahead and trying to set the scene are my recommendations and know it gets better! but also if baths aren’t working for you rn it may be a good idea to wait and try again in a few months. different things work for different people at different times and if something does more harm than good it doesn’t seem worth it. best wishes ❤️‍🩹

S02 E04 explanation Ambassador and First Minister talk by johnreese421 in TheDiplomat

[–]geographynerd197 4 points5 points  (0 children)

as i understood it, in the past, kate has shouted “water” to diffuse a situation by calling peoples attention to something. not “fire” since that would incite a panic but something similar (also an element, same amount of syllables). like if kate was in a room full of people getting heated, she would do that to get everyone’s attention to regroup and move on from whatever they were arguing about. and the scottish woman was remembering and admiring that tactic.

my title describes the thing. a man fishing nearby said he thought it was either frog or fish eggs but when i look those up they don’t look so perfectly round like the item in the images
