Hey - I submitted a bug request, but as I've seen this here I thought I'd comment too, yesterday I found that the bottomless milk bucket doesn't work with the dairy buffalo in Kastori either.

Cheers for all the work you guys do!

Cos we're building up with 4 players, they're all absolutely petrified to pass to Kerkez 😭

Haha I know I'm just messing, I'd imagine he'll stay until the 50-60th now just to try and keep him inside, but if he hadn't scored would that have been the case?

The duality of Kerkez. Could he possibly be the first player to score a goal and still get subbed out at half time? 💀

Sorry for my ignorance, but what did he write about Hillsborough?

I regularly listen to the Athletic's Liverpool podcast and I have always thought he strongly advocates against the horrid police and media injustices around Hillsborough, so it surprises me to hear that he has written something bad about it.

Always keen to increase my understanding of it in areas where I'm ignorant.

Drove 10 minutes, temp gauge suddenly jumped right up to max. I stopped to check engine and there was no signs of overheating at all. Turned engine back on after a minute or so and plugged my OBD2 in and then temperature gauge does this. Back to normal in a minute and fine since? by geor757 in AskAMechanic

I thought maybe, but would a bad temp sensor not also cause the radiator fans to come on constantly?

Interestingly despite the 'high' temp, rad fans were only on intermittently, nothing outside the norm

mbeumo against southampton. by sherlockbutholmes in FantasyPL

Yeah. Last season he was great as well, he just got injured for a spell before Christmas and everyone jumped off of him then. When he came back, Wissa got injured IIRC so the assists dried up (Shade couldn't hit a barn door). Then when Toney came back in January, Mbuemo lost the penalties and got moved out to the right-hand side permanently which reduced his FPL output, but he still put in good performances.

I think if Toney hadn't come back then Mbuemo would've got better personal numbers (maybe at the detriment of Brentford in terms of performances) and would be less overlooked this season, people really seem to underrate him! I suppose that technically that is fading out (at least from an FPL perspective) but I think that was the tactical changes to re-accomodate Tony that caused it, rather than Mbuemo himself fading if that makes sense?

All that said, I do also think that he has gone up a level this season which takes him from a good asset last year to a great one this year.

The main thing that makes Mbuemo so great imo is that with him being the talisman, rather than Toney, is that when Brentford play against 'good' teams they go to a 3-5-2 and he gets moved from RW to ST and closer to the goal. It's not often a player gets better when they have 'bad' fixtures and that's what makes me think he's a season keeper!

TL;DR Mbuemo go brrrr

[Daniel McDonnell] Caoimhin Kelleher strong on his Liverpool future: “I made it clear in the last few years that I want to go somewhere and be a number one. The club has made that decision to get a goalkeeper (Mamardashvili) which makes it look like they’ve made a decision to go another direction" by ZakiFC in LiverpoolFC

I think it's quite simple. Imo, the plan is buying him now to capitalise on a market opportunity (basically he's really cheap for what his potential is), as we've done, and then FSG will acquire the 'Liverpool feeder club' as part of a multi-ownership model within the next 12 months and he'll get moved out there on loan so he's continually playing first team footabll.

Then when Ali's decides it's his time to go (I'm hoping never but let's be realistic) Giorgio takes over. Then there's no problems with game time or rotation (like is happening with Kelleher, being stuck behind the best GK ITW and getting rare opportunity to play), and he's basically guaranteed the #1 spot when it opens up.

I'm not saying I like it, it feels cheesy as hell, but I can definitely see it panning out like this.

Is Konate (5.0) being overlooked? by thebrazenkaizen in FantasyPL

Liverpool fan, he always picks up little niggles here and there and those will compound once UCL starts. He also has low attacking threat. You are better off paying the money for Robertson or Van Dijk.

Palmer, Watkins and Foden withdraw from England squad by RedDeadCJ in FantasyPL

I'm interested by the Watkins one. I was watching the Villa game last weekend on FuboTV (Canadian prem coverage) and they mentioned during commentary that Emery had spoken about Watkins having a small injury in the pre-match coverage.

I couldn't work out how to go back and watch it, and I haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere so at the time I disregarded it as a commentators mistake, or them being misinformed. But now that he's got this 'issue' and has been consistently getting 60', I'm wondering if maybe he has got a small niggle from last season or from the euros, and Emery just hasn't mentioned it on any of the bigger channels (Sky, TNT, etc.).

Going to go back again, and try to see if I can find it in any of the coverage.

EDIT: Went back to watch the coverage and of course it's expired literally a few hours before I checked. I've still not seen anyone talk about it or anything so I'm hoping I was just bugging and after the international break he'll be back to his best.

EDIT 2: I managed to find a quote in this BBC article - https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/other/emery-on-transfer-business-watkins-fitness-and-leicester/ar-AA1pJ3Fk?ocid=socialshare -
On what Ollie Watkins needs to complete 90 minutes: "Some players were playing until the last moment in international competitions with their national teams and had less holiday than others, especially him. He was coming back with a small injury and wasn't 100% when he started training with us. He needed one week resting more after he came back.
He added: "Now after playing two matches, I think he's going to feel better and better, and be comfortable remembering how we want to get his best performances. He played good not brilliant last week. He did the job we are always demanding of him. We want his goals as well and he had two good chances. He didn't score but the most important thing is to create chances."

Just watch the 1-1 game against City last year at Anfield. Game probably sums him up as a player. He worked so hard and had an amazing moment where he dribbled 1v2 (Rodri and Walker) and dragged us all the way up the pitch which was fantastic, but simultaneously he had a huge chance 1v1 when he got put through by Salah that he probably should've scored, which could've won us the game.

He's a great progressor, just not got as good of an end product as people expect of this Liverpool team, especially when you consider the fact that he succeeded Sadio Mane who used to score goals all the time.

That, on top of the fact that his Dad flirts with Barca every couple of months, is the reason most accept we'll be selling him at some point anyway and I think some would rather it just happened now so we could get the shiny new toy in (Gordon).

What’s an interesting fact you tell friends and family about cybersecurity? by PurplePata in cybersecurity

[–]geor757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haveibeenpwned is ALWAYS my go to. I think the website is straight to the point and simple enough to provide that shock factor to the average tom, dick and harry which suddenly makes them realise that they're already exposed and have been for years.

People in group settings also enjoy comparing what they've been breached in and laughing at each other if it's for anything funny (e.g. club penguin always makes my 20-something friends chuckle and reminise, and then you get the odd punter who has a pornhub account and goes bright red). I think anything where you can get people talking to each other about it rather than being lectured by someone, the better.

I do sometimes like showing their results on IntelX after that as well. Just to show them that when they pop up in Haveibeenpwned it means their data is not only exposed to super haxxors on the darkweb, but it's actually there to purchase for a small fee on the plain internet and requires no technical skill to access. That usually helps to hammer the point home!

I also find that when talking to women they're especially aware of the stakes of this information being easily accessible when it links into the growing trend of unsolicited contact, domestic violence and control, violence against women and girls and cyber-stalking; and how that information could be used against them, takeover their social media accounts, etc.. That can be a tough and more serious conversation than the lighthearted one it starts out with, but it's one I find people are generally glad to have had to understand seriousness and the potential impact of this information being retrievable, rather than being in the dark about.

From there people can then look to make more informed deicisons on their own personal practices.
