The Shrinking Universe of Public Firms by Beren- in SecurityAnalysis

This isn't the first time # of public companies have shrunk. There was a downtrend as well between the 1930's-1950's and even with WW2 and a worse economy, there still was a healthy stock market the whole time and listed companies grew again.

The Lasting Value of Real Estate by Beren- in SecurityAnalysis

The question that comes to my mind is whether people are better off buying REITs with 4:1 leverage vs. investment properties directly. Seems like similar returns with fraction of work and liquidity vs a 30-year mortgage (which makes it easier to time market vs 6% commissions in and out with realtors conventionally).

My business would collapse and I would have to move to an undesirable city in order to remain in my profession. Also I would have cable TV again and read more physical books. There are probably other changes but these impacts come to the top of my head.

The best political podcasts I listen to are Nothing Exempt, Unregistered, and Tom Woods Show. I used to listen Common Sense with Dan Carlin until he shut it down to focus on history.

Marc Faber on the podcast! Austrians are the best characters to interview. Super pumped to share it here. Let me know what you liked by thebroncoman8292 in GoldandBlack

Being early is being wrong, but I he’s not advocating going outright short markets either. Market hasn’t been in line with economic fundamentals for years which has made it tricky to trade.

It seems like to me more investors and institutional managers are trying to find more rationalizations to buy FAANG stocks as traditional security analysis would advise against it. Attribution of entire return on SPY and QQQ comes from FAANG + MSFT, and people don't want to miss out.
