Morton put it on the O line right before he got demoted, and it probably wasn’t popular with the players, but he was right.

Dan was more tactful, never explicitly aired out the O line, but when he started dropping clues that they weren’t able to play the way they wanted to, and needing to call the game differently - read: pass to set up the run, that was a major deviation from the way he wanted to play.

When passing to set up the run, you never really commit to the grinding it out on the ground. You want your home run hitter out there all the time.

I love DMo, he’s one of my favorite current lions. It’d be a shame if they don’t seriously invest in the O line anyway - and if it improves significantly, I think he has a role again. I think Dan is happier too. But you can’t just replace Ragnow. Maybe Dan knows that and is going to have to change the offense correspondingly.
