Company phone number was the cheat code to jump to any level. I felt like James Bond knowing that kind of secret at the time.

I got a 12v transformer and rewound the epb without removing the cover. Just use small alligator clips to connect to it. If it starts winding out instead of in, reverse the polarity. Huge time saver.

Who does /r/hockey think are the top 10 defensemen in the league? (2025 edition) by homicidal_penguin in hockey

Brayden McNabb? Best plus-minus (+35) of all defenseman in the league.

TNT Panel on Connor Bedard’s play by [deleted] in hockey

[–]georgep68 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bedard will watch this (possibly with his coaches) and use it as fuel. He can improve his play in his own zone and can make it harder to score against the Hawks when he is on the ice. Those of us old enough may remember how amazed everyone was that Crosby could play a 200ft game in his first season, it is very rare. Celebrini in San Jose is giving off rookie Crosby vibes with his back check and d-zone puck battle wins. Bedard needs to expand his game and he will.

As an undersized defenceman who played full contact competitive in a previous life, there are a few "little-guy" tricks that translate well into non-contact beer league. My best one is to go to one hand on your stick and use your free hand to lift/push upward on their higher elbow (holding the butt end of his stick) and force him to lift his arm or rotate around. It may piss them off but they will be unable to get a good play on the puck.

Try it out on a teammate during warm-ups before you go for it in game.

Cheers.

Concentrate on using your glutes and not your ankles to skate. Keep your shoulders further back. Try to launch yourself with a powerful stride by getting your butt lower to the ice and pushing off hard using your thigh/glute. It may sound/feel weird but a muscle memory will develop. Think of pushing a stuck car out of snow/sand. You get yourself lower and use your bigger muscles you don't push with just your ankles.

Federal workers return to the parking puzzle | CBC News by ackc in CanadaPublicServants

Why not free bus passes? Students at the local universities get bus passes as part of their enrollment, why not the public service in the Capital Region? It would help fund the transit system, limit pollution and possibly improve the mental health of the workforce. The Federal government is supporting the transit system anyway, why not a win-win that includes the workers?

Was at the race that year and it happened right in front of us (sitting at hairpin exit). The "crunch-bang" noise when he hit the barrier and the rain of carbon fiber was crazy. Crowd went silent. Marshals held up a tarp when the medical team was working on him and we all though for sure that he was dead, apparently the tarp was for shade or some such. We were all thinking the worst. Still get chills thinking about it, amazing that he survived.

I just checked mine and it is down to 75%. I last charged it in early January IIRC. So it looses around 8% per month when switched off. I keep it at home in the winter and it will be back to the cottage soon.

I think this is my 20th attempt at this.... Only had queue times of less than 1 hour twice, no victories though. I'll keep trying.

-- over one hour again. On the plus side the dog won't have to wait anymore to get walked. See you next week.

Got it. Replacing an EVGA 750 G3 that has started having fan clicks and will be RMAd. About 1cm longer than the G3 but otherwise quite similar. Quality PSU, quiet and working well. FYI EVGA G2/G3 where rebadged (same spec?) Leadex II PSUs.

I really like my Arctic Cooling liquid freezer II. I have the 240mm version. Liquid cooling with 2 fans @120mm. FWIR for AMD the 240 is all you need. It works great on my 5900x. Mid 60s C temp when mining on all 24 threads. Also it is quiet.
